Health Care Dilemma
With the recent turn of events regarding the passage of the Health Care/Socialism bill, and if I were faced with a, "Which would you rather do?" situation:
Accept the Health Care/Socialism bill or View the purported nekkid pictures of Nancy Pelosi knowing that it would cause eye damage and irreparable mental harm... I would choose #2 at my own peril! LOL You may have your own, "I would rather....." |

Maybe it is time for civil disobedience... I would rather slide down a giant razor blade into a pool of alcohol than have my country turned from capitalism to socialism. |
Re: Health Care Dilemma
I would rather stay in Guatemala where without insurance (with ins. much cheaper) my wife can have a kid for $1200 all expenses included than move back to the USA where I pay that in two months for my so-called premium, more like extortion, then pay $12000+ to have a kid. High quality of health care if you go to the NON-socialist hospitals.
And my salary is the same in both places. Tough decision, eh? ;) |

When I had mine, the last one 18 years ago, I think it was $3,000!! The one about 5 years before that was about $1,800!! Okay, you math whizzes. I want the percent increase on that. (Please provide a formula as I am trying to learn how to do this myself! Thanks) |

My personal "rather" would be that Nancy Pelosi come to faith in Jesus Christ and proclaim Him the Lord of her life. The political hooey will all work out. |

The woman just kept working in the field until the contractions were too close. Then she'd go to the side of the field and deliver the baby, cut the cord, wipe the child off, bind it on her back, and return to her work in the field. Ahhhh, the good old days...... and the old landmarks...... |

I told this to my husband and he said it's like being asked "Did you stop beating your wife yet?" There is no right answer. However, on the flip-side, I found MOW's comment a bit off color.... |

And I assumed when NOW answered back with his comment that he was saying that TIC. Am I right?? That's the problem with typing our words. You can't see facial expressions :) We're all good people here. And we know each other pretty well by now. I don't think anyone meant to slam anyone else. Love you all!! |

Of course I was being "TIC." But I was dead serious about Ephesians 5:4 |
Re: Health Care Dilemma
C'mon folks MOW was talking about choosing between two nasty choices. The point was he DOESN'T want to see her without clothes, or probably with clothes, but given the choice between two awful choices he would take that one.

The rate of inflation in U.S. health care was really the only problem - but it's a huge problem. I think a lot of this is caused by the way that the end user is often screened from the actual costs. |

Re: Health Care Dilemma
All I can say is we love Health care in Canada! And don't believe anything different. :) The larger taxes are worth it.
But I do not know how it is going down in the USA to speculate much. But after spending two years in the USA, I saw how you folks are being GOUGED by health insurance. WOW! |

AUSTIN — Gov. Rick Perry today sent a letter asking other governors to join him in ongoing efforts to assert the constitutional rights of states as guaranteed under the 10th Amendment with regard to the federal health care bill being forced through by Congress. He urged the governors to support and join efforts by Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott and several other state attorneys general to determine the constitutionality of a compromise in the pending federal health care legislation exempting the state of Nebraska from increased Medicaid costs resulting from the bill’s passage. "As the chief executive officers of our individual sovereign states, we must stand up to this unprecedented intrusion in to our lives and the rights of our citizens. We must demonstrate resolve in the face of this infringement,” Gov. Perry wrote in the letter. “Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott is joining with several other state attorneys general to place this deal under proper scrutiny, to determine if such an exclusion is unconstitutional. His office, along with mine, will continue to explore all options available to us as we attempt to minimize the damages that can be caused to Texans by this ill-advised piece of legislation." In Texas, this health care bill will cost up to $21 billion over the next 10 years, adding an estimated 2 million more people to our Medicaid rolls. In his letter the governor emphasized that this bill will impose unprecedented intrusion in to the lives and the rights of citizens by mandating that every American purchase health care coverage or face penalties. Additionally, taxpayers in Texas and in most other states will pay even more to effectively subsidize expanded Medicaid for Nebraska and select states that caught additional sweeteners on issues like rural health care and Medicare Advantage for some seniors in a few states.
