What movies make you cry?
 

Got Across the Universe on DVD (2-disc set) for Christmas, and that movie got me choked up a couple of times when I first saw it on cable. One of the special features showed the try-out or a practice (not sure) for "Let It Be"... oh man! What an amazing voice that lady has. The director watched in tears (so did I!), and when it was over, she and the singer just hugged and cried. The little boy was incredible, too, and in the movie, well, you just have to see it. Have kleenex handy!

Al most any movie that I watch with my Dad makes me cry. But he starts it!!!

Don't watch many movies (about two in the last ten years). Did watch The Horse Whisperer with Dad over Thanksgiving. Yep. Both of us cried.

Forget the Horse Whisperer, I've cried while watching the Dog Whisperer (especially the episode with Baby Girl).

First Blood and Rambo. I cried when John Rambo went to prison, and when they left him in Vietnam. :nah

"Finding Nemo" brings me to tears.

"Glory" and "The Color Purple" also do it for me. So does that Cher movie from the 80's, "MASK".



However, "Finding Nemo" has jerked more tears out of me than any other movie I've ever watched.

I mentioned "The Five people You Meet In Heaven" on another thread- I read the book first- and when I watched the movie with my family I was bawling before "that part" even started.

Oh my goodness!! You must realize the awesome talent of an actor who can bring you to tears! That makes it worth the tears!!

Seriously, I never cry at movies. I don't like movies, generally. But I feel like such a loser-schmuck if I start to cry. But "The Bucket List" had me running for the kleenex.

I felt it. I thought it was very moving. But SHE didn't cry. If she had cried, I'd have been squalling with her. I cry at funerals of people I don't know. But, since she held it together, I did, too. ;)

She cried in the car with him when she knew she would never be with him again! :tissue

He then shows up for the press interview, which surprises her. But, she keeps her composure. He hands her the photos he was supposed to turn in to the press allowing her to know that their secret was safe. By doing so, he is saying, "I love you!" :tissue :tissue

Gran Torino was pretty good.

Also recently saw Pans Labyrinth which was also somewhat of a tear jerker by the end.

The movies that make me cry are the ones that are on when no good movies are on. Anybody else notice what HBO has done - or is it just on Comcast? If I was paying for HBO I'd be pretty upset.

Watched Prince Caspian with the kids this evening. Nice.

I don't love it but I don't mind it either. I'll well up over most anything that I see that could be "likened" unto spiritually and that goes for anything, not just movies.

I don't watch many movies, and can't remember one that made me cry. But Extreme Makeover: Home Edition on ABC makes me cry.....almost every episode.
