Weather Across the Country/It's cold *Merged*

Very cold in Missouri. We had five degrees and snow this morn. Found the roads to be in rather poor condition.

We made it to the espresso shop (thankfully) before turning around and attending a local Southern Baptist Church. We enjoyed a very good service and Sunday School - lots of acquaintances and friends there.

How is it in part of the country? It appears to be very cold for most.

The cold will hit us on Thursday according to what I'm reading. We have some hard freeze warnings issued already. Won't be quite as cold here as where you are. :D But plenty cold enough for me to be walking around in tyvm... With highs below freezing it's gonna be kind of miserable out there.

The weather says the high is 28 but it feels like 14. When I left the house this morning it said it felt like -1. I have never been in weather this cold in my life.

I do not like green eggs and ham, I do not like it sam I am!

Yesterday it was 15 degrees, but I had the day off and already decided to grill... It works if you use a truckload of wood and let it burn down! I did a couple ribeyes and a few brats.

20 degrees here right now. But it feels alot colder than that. However, I am not complaining because our roads are clear and dry and we only have about an inch of snow on the ground.

I remember when I was a kid and I'd talk to my cousins on the phone. They lived in Maryland. They would ask me what the weather was like here in So Cal and I'd say "cold". They'd ask me what the temp was and I'd say 65 and they would start laughing hysterically...

I hear that! Here is a story about where you live!

Feeling cold? We're at 30 below normal

"We're a solid 30 degrees below normal," said Jeff Johnson, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service.

Current temp 30.
Wind chill= 20.
Tonight's predicted low temp- 15.
Tomorrow's predicted high temp- mid 20's.
Tomorrow night's predicted low- 10-15.
Wind chill for tomorrow night expected to be -1 to 4 above zero.

TOO COLD HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm MIA on AFF because it's too COLD to sit in my office for more than 5 minutes at a time.

I'm going back to my living room where it's WARM!

What I need to do is just convince hubby to buy another heater to use in the office. If I weren't so spoiled to using the desktop computer with the larger screen monitor, I could use the laptop in the living room. If I gave in and used the laptop with the tiny screen--then I'd never convince the hubby that he really should get me a heater in the office. :D

wish I had one of those about right now... no heat.. it is really cold, I am running space heaters and having an enjoyable time flipping breakers off and on... just moved one to above my W/D, so I think it is on another breaker and be ok.

Furnace guy is supposed to be here 8 in the morning... thank God.

It's not the age or health status that's the problem. He says it's that the office will have to have more electrical wiring installed and another breaker added to the breaker box to support the use of a heater in the office.

The last thing I want is him messing with the electrical works in the house.... he's like Tim the Tool Man Taylor on Home Improvement with electrical jobs. Anything else he can fix though, so I'm not complaining too much.

Gonna let the thread go back to it's original subject now and stop hijacking the thread. My fingers are too frozen to type more. :D

But of course i find it jsut chilly since i lived in Wisconsin and even Ice Fished when it was -17 on a frosty Saturday.....
