My boys don't wear shorts...
We are submitted to OUr Pastors' leadership in our Lives...

Back when I was apostolic, natural was considered a color. I got in trouble a number of times for wearing a natural foundation and/or a natural powder with NOTHING else.

You know what's funny? I hardly ever wear any make-up at all now. I wore alot more when I was apostolic than I do these days. I think getting older has alot to do with that. Cuz anymore, I've changed my attitude. If you like what you see, that's good. If you don't, then go ahead and turn your head. I'm too old to care about too much. Doesn't mean I look like a slob. I don't. I was blessed with very good skin. But I'm sure not one of those who wouldn't leave my house without make-up.

If something is sold in the jewelry dept, it's jewelry, whether it is functional or not. (that's what some people say) If something is sold in the makeup aisle, it's makeup, whether it's "natural" or not. No makeup is natural, in some people's opinions. (But I do wear concealer, and by doing so I do break the rules.)

Most women wear natural make-up - - you try to match your skin tone so it looks natural.

So it's only a sin if it's darker or lighter than your skin tone?

Natural dyed hair - - no such thing. Your hair is either natural or dyed. You mean match your hair color. Dye is dye - - if you dye your hair to cover the gray, then it's not natural anymore.

How would they know where you bought it? Or how would they know you had it? Believe me, in my previous circle they'd find out if you had it. And they didn't care where you bought it. One man told me he couldn't care less if a watch was a watch face tied to his arm with binder twine, they still sold watches in the jewelry dept at Walmart and so he wouldn't wear one.

I don't go to those extremes now. Does that make me lib or mod?

To whom do you compare yourself to in order to consider yourself moderate?

Do you believe people will go to hell if they don't speak in tongues?

Do you believe water baptism in the name of Jesus only is essential to remission of sins and essential to the new birth?

If you answered yes to either one of the questions above you are in a group that makes up about .083% of the worlds population. Seems pretty radical to me. :treadmill:

Let me rephrase that... I still dress the part, but I won't judge others based on whether or not they are wearing a watch or even a wedding band. Or any of a myriad of other standards, either. Even, due to my current situation, whether or not they attend church regularly.

If there is a tint, it has color. If it's clear and shiny, tinted to hide a big zit, or whatever, it alters your natural appearance and is, therefore, makeup. Makeup hides the natural beauty God made (even that big zit) and therefore is sin.

I will say that Randy had a little more moderate feel to his postings before he moved back to OK... just an observation. :)

I did get to meet Randy and his lovely family in SF a year or so ago while I was there alone on business.... we had a really nice visit (and didn't even talk about church stuff much. lol)
