LOL, I posted the same thing as you on fb! I'm wondering how many more "blah-blah-blah" posts there will be? :coffee2

I watched a few minutes of it and can't take it any more.
I'm back here on my computer.
I told my wife, I'll come out and watch the response and review when it comes on.

We've got it on, but my computer is more interesting! So hollow....

The POTUS just said he wanted to have monthly meetings with the Peublican leadership. That's a huge change. He met with them once in April of 2009 and has shut them out ever since. I guess that's a change instigated by Brown's win in Mass.

The problem isn't really what he's saying--some of it is good. It's just that he doesn't mean any of it. *yawn* Talk's cheap, Mr. President.

He's been yacking for over an hour now - among the longest State of the Union speeches in the modern era.

The promise of new nuke plants was good... but what about his base?

His promise of a 3 year freeze on growth in government spending was great... but you could tell he didn't clear that one with Nancy Pelosi.

As soon as he said it she turned and spoke excitedly to Biden. You couldn't see her face but her head was bobbing and shaking. When she turned back to the camera her face was tense and her eyes looked a bit watered. She was angry. LOL.

Brett B. timed it at 70 minutes with 86 interruptions for applause.

Watching Nancy Pelosi, I feel a sense of compassion for her husband for some reason. I don't know, its just something I "feel".

Couldn't even bring myself to watch it. I was working late so I recorded American Idol. Watched it instead. I'm not frustrated or angry now. I'll see the highlights on the news tomorrow. :blah

"CLEAN" nuke plants, coal plants, and off shore drilling.... He doesn't mean a word of it. Said the same thing during the campaign, just rhetoric for the November election. And eliminating the capital gains tax on small business???? Trying to sound centrist.

Well, a new "clean coal" power plant is being built around here. Though I think the whole thing was put in motion before Obama.

That is 20 minutes less than your Apostolic call and response preacher under the "anointing" and 86 less interruptions under the solicited "Help Me Preach" category.

What was sorely lacking was the 60 minute altar call.

McKain looked like the disgruntled, embittered deacon sitting in the corner muttering... while Sheila Jackson Lee looked like she was jest about goin' to let loose and shockamoo.

Yah, yah. He campaigned about this and what has he and the Dems done the past year to follow thru with it .... nothing.

BHO says a lot of things in his speeches. But he's a politician and a liar and the majority of things he won't do.

Like other Presidents, R&D's, he got up and said what the polls and people wanted to hear. It was his one opportunity this year to get a positive bump in ratings and he'll likely get it because people like his speeches.

Give it time and people will remember his campaign lies and his approval numbers will fall again. Hopefully right before the fall elections.
