Facebook down?
 

Is anyone else having problems logging in to Facebook today? I keep getting a message saying that it is down for Site Maintenance. How about the rest of you?

Nope - it's working for me, but I wish they would shut down for maintenance and fix the uploads.

HA. I wish they'd fix where it's showing me where everyone is becoming friends with people and when they like people's status, etc. It's so annoying!

I had the settings on mine fixed before where I didn't see any of that. Now I can't find anywhere to control the feed... apparently each person has to block that kind of thing from getting posted now themselves and we just have to deal with it till they fix their own settings.

Margie, I think FB randomly audits individual pages, and apparently they are going over your page right now. I have had it happen on several different occasions, I think this is one of the ways they try to control innapropriate content.

hey Margie! :kittyhug I had that about 2 days ago. They are redoing FB again. It will look different. I believe its just your turn! :thebunny I think that they do a number amount each day. Hope that helps! :thumbsup

FB is working fine on my computer but not on my phone. Since they changed it yesterday I haven't been able to access it on my phone. I still get texts but can't view them in the fb application. grrrr

Both my daughters had the new fb setup last week. They just changed mine yesterday.

my change was today and I DO NOT LIKE IT!!! Just fix it one way or the other and leave "old" people's like it is! ha!

changed last week for me too... and I wish I could get rid of showing everything everyone does. Like Tina, I was able to cut that out on the other one... now I can't.

Well, they finally put it back on the left side of my screen where I could click on FRIENDS, then on STATUS UPDATES. Doing that seems to remove everything else from the feed, at least for now.

It's about time.... that was annoying having to go through and block all those game applications all over again.

Margie, Have you tried dumping the cookies folder? Maybe you just have a bad cookie that is preventing you from getting there. If you have a program like C-cleaner, I'd recommend running it and then trying again.

ok, I found a way to email Facebook and let them know what is going on. This is the response I got:

into and using the site for several days. Specific symptoms of this issue
include:

• Inability to log in due to a "Site Maintenance" error message
• Missing friends from the Friends page
• Errors when trying to access Inbox

Unfortunately, we do not have a specific date for when this issue will be
resolved, but we are working to fix it as soon as possible. Please note that
this is a temporary display issue and no content has been removed from your
account. Although we are unable respond to every bug report individually, we
are reading them. We appreciate your patience.

I hope that they find a fix for it soon because its getting be a pain in to the mobile site and check on peoples status updates.

I hear ya, my wife and I both have BB with FB apps that are currently useless.

Oh great. The last time I got a message like that, about half my friends list was defriended when I logged back into facebook. A few of them I reconnected with and others I didn't because I haven't had time to go hunting to find them again through mutual friends pages.

Tina, I'm back on (thank the Lord!), but I never even thought to check and see if all of my friends are still there. Headed back to FB right now to check that out! Thanks for the heads-up.

And yes, Sam, dumping your cookies = tossing your cookies. LOL!!
