I know we have a lot of computer geeks here and need to know if anyone here is familiar with the church program ACS.

Cant say that I am. The best resource I have found for church networking is at http://www.misternifty.com/

It was started by an apostolic preacher in Florida and has tons of resources, links, blogs and information just for churches. Everything from financial programs to worship screen backgrounds and lots of free stuff. Most likely ACS is covered somewhere on his site.

It is a church program is all I know. I think it keeps up with attendance, tithes, personal information, etc.

Usually it is powered by the "other guys"
This should be obvious since an idle process just waiting for the right conditions to "do something" is called a "daemon".

So how many good pentecostals would burn their computer is they knew it has a hundred or more daemons running around it at any given time?

It is a box holds a lot of information and when you think it is safe it "crashes" and keeps your stuff.:foottap

Check out FellowshipOne. If you are a new church they give you a free year of access. Many of the megachurches use them.

ACS is a good software though. ServantKeeper is ok, Membership Plus needs a bullet to its brain.

If you don't mind, and since you seem to know something about them all... why do you like Fellowship One or ACS over Servant Keeper?

This is not for a megachurch :), but not a small church either....
