Prayer Request - Master's examinations

Hello all,

I don't post on here as much as I used to but I keep up :)

I have a really important prayer request that I would love for you guys to say a prayer, hail mary or whatever :D

For the last 5 years, I've been working on my Master's in English Literature. Started right after I got married (mistake!), through the birth of my daughter, a couple of relocations, etc.

I took the final exam (comprehensive exam) last fall but only passed half of it. I am retaking the part I missed this coming Friday starting at 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Please pray that I pass it. I have studied and feel good that I know the material. This test is basically sitting writing long papers for 8 hours with only a short break for lunch; 200 years of literature expected to know from memory. It's intense.

Each semester I don't pass it costs me between $2000-3000 in airfare from Guatemala, tuition costs, etc and most importantly, my life is basically on hold because every spare second is spent studying for this. My wife has been incredibly patient, but I know she's ready to have her husband back from the clutches of Shakespeare :) This is the very last step in me getting my Master's.

Just a little background to let you know I could really use your prayers! I will be traveling all day Thursday to get to Texas, but will have plenty of reading material to spend the layovers studying.

Thanks in advance. God bless.

Keeping you in mind, Bro. Good luck on that exam. You'll do great.

I understood!!! LOL, but seriously, this is exactly why I am insisting that my daughter finish at least her BA before she gets married.

Great idea - she won't regret it.

Done, your prayers helped, I think I did quite well. I'll know the results in 2.5 weeks! Oh the agony. Thanks again.

This is the first time I saw this thread, or I definitely would have been praying!! So proud for you, that you passed this test. I'm sure it was stressful.

My daughter has been married almost two years now and she has just started working toward her Masters in Education. It's very stressful, but she would like to teach elementary Spanish and had to have this degree to do it. It's a LOT of work!

By the way, Eddie and I leave for three days in Belize on May 3rd! I'm very excited!! We are going down to meet an attorney, finish paying off the property that we bought (Love & Truth Ministries), and then go tramp through the jungle that will be transformed into a youth camp and transitional home in the next few years. It's off the Western Hwy. somewhere between Belize City and San Ignacio, close to Belmopan. That's about all I know right now - some A/G pastor is meeting us and taking us to the property since we will be totally lost in the interior.

I have bought intense bug spray and rubber knee boots! LOL
