Re: Homegoing Celebration Today
Sound is in deed horrible. Some other program started running in the background. Interesting to see WPF and UPCI on the same platform. Sad it has to be because of something so sad.

Re: Homegoing Celebration Today
Wonderful celebration, sorry the sound was bad,
it was hot and crowded inside, not sure how many the church will seat. Myles Young, Teresa Baker, Stan Cook, Chae Sheerin all sang, Bishop Wilson, Sr Pastor McDonald, Sister Mary Wilson having time to speak, with Carroll greeting the congregation, and Bishop Haney delivering the message. The DVD of Priscilla was nice, nice to remember her that way! |

Re: Homegoing Celebration Today
That is too bad about the sound, because it was a great service! My husband tried to watch it with the girls from home and they couldn't really understand what was being said.
Hopefully there will be a DVD, because I'd like for my girls to watch it. My favorites were John McDonald & Stan Cook--and of course, anything Bro. McGruder has to say goes on my favorite list by default. ;) Priscilla having the "last word" was great. Melody--it was EXTREMELY hot in there. Yesterday and today. Yowza!!! TalkLady & Melody--I want to know who you are and where you were sitting!!! :D :D :D **There will never be another Priscilla McGruder** That woman was, is and always will be a great inspiration to me. |
Re: Homegoing Celebration Today
MissBrattified, I was sitting right next to a "heavy set" guy and right behind a lady with a bun on the BACK of her head, not the top. That really narrows it down for you. Doesn't it?
I had thought of going back to work yesterday but after my husband said he was going to the funeral, I took off another day but this time as Annual Leave. I'm a crier. So, the lady with the bun on the BACK of her head and I wiped tears during much of the service. It was good to see some people I had not seen in years. Maybe I even saw you!...lol |

Re: Homegoing Celebration Today
aw cute MissB, I felt so sorry for the children, it was long and hot, I had a very annoyed father in front of me, the children were restless, but those that remember having children understand.
