Dan Dean?
 

Does anybody know anything about Dan Dean? Is he UPC? Apostolic? Independent? He will be on TBN's Praise the Lord today at 5 est.

He has no UPC affiliation. I believe he used to and that his family is related to the UPC family, The Dean's (song leader at POA, and the pastor in Bossier City).

Used to be UPCI ... now with Global. His father inlaw is the recently deceased Bishop Jack Dehart who was the previous chairman of Global.

He pastors The Heartland Church in Carrollton, (Irving) Texas.

He is also part of the group Phillips, Craig and Dean ... all grew up UPCI.

I didn't realize that all of them were former UPCI. Interesting.

Many of them are Pentecostal/Charismatic still. Interesting about the Global connection. What about Randy Phillips? He doesn't seem to be the same flavor as his dad.

He also was the Dean of Music at TBC, I believe.

Randy apparently doesn't hold the 3 step view of his dad, Kenneth Phillips.

If they formed in 91 ... Phillips would have been out for quite some time.
While I would imagine Dan Dean left with his father in law after Westberg, in 1992?

It was formerly pastored by Roy Gerald. Roy's son Kevin pastor Champions Centre in Seattle, WA area. Kevin's sister, Melody, is married to Steve Munsey.

They were all from the UPC pre '91 I do believe. Shawn Craig is NOT baptist. I believe he went to a baptist college though.

Dan Dean was in my class at Bible College - great guy! We were good friends. His dad pastored a military church in Texas; their family was very close. He married Becky Dehart, who also went to JCM.
