A question for the ladies:

If Jesus was alive today and had asked you to go on a date would you have went?

Isaiah 53:2,3

2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.

3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.

Re: A question for the ladies:

That's the closest we would have to a physical description of Jesus.

Sometimes I wonder if that passage is describing, however, the appearance of the Suffering Servant more than the Messiah. In other words, is this depiction of him at his Passion and not possibly how he looked in real life?

I accept what most believe, and that is the passage is referring to how he appeared. But I find the verse referring more to his rejection at his passion than anything else.

Jesus was about his Father's business as a young teenager. Dating wasn't part of the plan.

Probably not...I don't think he would have been a very good boyfriend what with being so busy healing people and teaching on mountaintops and all. No time for a girl, right?

I just can't picture this working. Can you see Jesus holding hands with Mirth, or P.O. or kissing Renda goodnight. (I know she would probably have kissed him. I'm making that assumption after seeing the pictures from the last Nashville get-together) :toofunny Come on Renda, I'm just kidding! :bliss

BeenThinkin (Shouldn't have been tho! Not on this subject anyway!)

Might have been nice to actually have a perfect man as your date!

I disagree! Hanging around perfect people can be really frustrating for flawed people like me!

But, you have to admit it would be different - - - he'd show up on time, be polite, pay for the meal, respect you, be kind, and just think of all the things you'd have to talk about!

Re: A question for the ladies:

If Jesus were walking the earth today (in human form), HE would be doing the same things now that HE did then. I spend time with the Lord and have often called it a "date night". This is time spent speaking to HIM and getting answers to today's questions and then backing it up with King James Scripture.

No, Christians do not date; we court...
