Esther, I am a proud American and so is Barack Obama. Just because he had communist friends growing up, doesn't mean he is a communist then or now. The video was filled with rumor and innuendo. Nothing to do with his political beliefs in the present. Plus we have a congress to keep him in check so what is there to worry about?

If all this had been written about Bush, and as much trash came out on Bush as has come out on Obama what would your attitude have been? Would you have been as forgiving and as understanding to Bush?

And you speak of Congress being there to keep him in check. You've got to be kidding. How many of the members of Congress have come under question but the rest of the Congress won't even investigate the accusations against their own. One perfect example is NY's Charlie Rangel!

And the list goes on! Jack Murtha, Jane Harman, Dianne Feinstein, William Jefferson, Eric Massa, David Paterson, Neil Goldschmidt, Richard Holbrooke, former U.N. ambassador and assistant Secretary of State, who as U.N. Ambassador ignored whistleblower reports about the infamous Oil-for-Food scandals, and joined the Countrywide Six.

Or how about Dodd? Senator Christopher Dodd – D. Connecticut, who oversees the U.S. mortgage industry as chairman of the Senate Banking Committee, also a member of the Countrywide Six.

Gaylord Kent Conrad – D. North Dakota, the chairman of the Senate Budget Committee and one of the first politicians to support Obama over Hillary. Plus, he was a member of the Countrywide Six.

ROD BLAGOJEVICH, Governor of Illinois, stated that the Senate seat “is a f’ing valuable thing, you just don’t give it away for nothing.” He had a good friend, too.

Tony Rezko “assisted Blagojevich in setting up the state’s first Democratic administration in twenty years. Rezko was able to have business associates appointed onto several state boards. Rezko and several others were indicted on federal charges in October 2006, for using their connections to the state boards to demand kickbacks from businesses that wanted to do business with the state. Clarence Norman Jr., the leader of one of the largest Democratic Party organizations in the nation, was found guilty yesterday of soliciting illegal campaign contributions.

And the list goes on. And yes, there are Republicans that can be added too. Washington DC is a disgrace.

BT, all these things in the video about Obama had been known before. There is nothing new. The mccain and clinton campaigns didn't expose it because there is nothing there. The campaigns were about his voting record and political stances now, not his personal life. I agree their is corruption in both parties, but it is democrats who stand for campaign finance reform not republicans. I believe it was obama who cosponsored one of the toughest ethics refom bills that is now law. look it up.

What do i want ? release all of his school records. Everything from grade school to college, any scholarships moneys he got and where they came from AND his ORIGINAL birth certififcate, not a copy. Then i will believe.Until then he is hiding something. Then i wanna know his total relationship with Rezko (a lebonese businessman/crook/convicted felon) and his relationship with the unrepentant terrorist Bill Ayers.

It's puzzling that neither the McCain nor Clinton camps used Obama's socialist, communist and racist connections and long term friendships during the campaign.

Makes you wonder.
