I've checked a few times today to see if AFF was back up. It wasn't and every time I thought, "Oh boy, I'll bet some folks are dancing around their living rooms right now thinking that God wanted certain current activities to stop."

LOL. I hope you're joking with this Preddy. Biblically, the office of an elder is an office to which one has been ordained by the apostolic ministry.

Those who were being admonished here - Lee Stoneking and that other guy, "Art" - are clearly teaching doctrines that the apostles in the Bible never approved of.

Further - Lee Stoneking has associated himself with a criminal enterprise by boasting of his "doctorate" from the Institute for Christian Works. Why would anyone support such activity?

I was at Gateway (a UPCI endorsed Bible college) back in the 1980s when a bunch of the other students were talking about the money they were making simply by "driving cars" from Arizona to Missouri and back. They were excited! They were making some good cash and they were working for the president of Gateway College of Evangelism.

It was a real sweet deal until the indictments came down.

What is it with you people and your love for involvement in criminal activity?

Prax, I'd be willing to bet that there are MANY within the UPC system that are watching all this and rooting FOR those who are exposing all this. I don't have a lot of contacts within the UPC anymore but the few that I've talked to had had enough of him many years ago and were sick of his games almost from the time they started. Enough is enough.

or apostolic.net, goodpreaching.com, apostolicvideo.net and all the other sites which are pretty much right leaning. If God had anything at all to do with it it was in that he helped me get over 60 gb of website files moved, restored and back online quickly, efficiently and painlessly AND still get a decent nights sleep.. That was the smoothest transfer of servers I have ever gone through.

I was told by an attorney that it was shut down for a particular reason. I did not initiate or instruct such a thing. I know the guy and he had called to inform me of certain actions he was taking. I am open with my writings and my beliefs. I think it is all about direction though Renda, Prax, admin, etc. What would you like the reputation of this forum to be?

Well, your attorney friend was lying.

There's no reason to shut AFF down.

John A maintains our server and the hard drive crashed and he had to transfer to a new server and use the back-up from yesterday. That's it. Nothing to hide.

I posted several times on FB yesterday what the problem was and continued to be and John has posted this morning what the problem was and what he did.

vBulletin might have been called, but FOR SURE we weren't down because of that call.

I have not read all the threads. I hadn't when I was called either. I only knew of what had been said of Bro Stoneking and Bro Treece. We had a tragedy in our church this week and I have been very distracted. I have just learned somethings for the first time. I left a voice mail for some folks to call me back.

However, before you immediately believe your "friend" you might want to check out the facts.

Also, vB doesn't just "shut you down" when someone complains. If there was a REAL reason that vB felt we should be shut down, they would contact us first and tell us why.

Funny thing, last night before bed I spoke with Bro Griffin and he gave me somethings I hadn't realized as well and warned me not to get too involved. He didn't know it but my wife was in my ear saying the same thing. :)

It was a terrible tragedy. This family had already adopted one and was visiting the next two they would adopt, for the first time, when the father drowned. He was only a few feet away from the shore too. Trinity River has some strong currents. He had jumped in to catch the little girl who had slipped in the river.
