I have been called a bigot
 

I told someone that I opposed a new mosque at Ground Zero. I was informed that made me a bigot.
We see many broken homes. When we share sex after marraige and other principles that not only are moral, they are beneficial, we get the label.

I opposed the healthcare reform. I have purchased employee coverages since the 70's and see it is expensive and rising. I knew by reading legislation, many things would be new requirements. I also knew the promise of the price falling 2,500 dollars was not only false, it could rise no less than that for a family. I was called a bigot.
My Bishop and I agree. We love the homosexuals and oppose gay marriage. We are both called bigots.
Someone is daily calling Governor Palin a bigot.

What is behind this? Some of it is energy caused from pain and bitterness in the accuser. They take it out on people with different ideas. The political correctness movement has rigid ideology and the ultimate rebuke for the person that is not politically correct is to wear the badge of a bigot.

We are having revival in our church. I see much of this is not political but spiritual warfare. We are living in a hurting world. I have been accused of being a fundamentalist once this year. It was more frequent in previous years. Fundies are also called dangerous.

It is time consuming, but much of this is repressed anger. People have easily triggered outbursts.

Was Samuel the first biblical bigot? The people wanted a big king like the modern countries had.

Well here... let me help. I'll make a post and people can start calling me names.

Why is everybody fighting this Community Center/Mosque so hard.

There were at least 2 mosques in the vicinity of the WTC before 9/11. This is not AT Ground Zero. It is 2 blocks away and around the corner. It has a mosque in it... but it is a community center.

You don't get mad at the other team because they are gaining on you. You research your own game and find out where you're going wrong.

The Muslim religion is growing the US.
I don't like it.
The Christian presence in America is shrinking.
I don't like it.
This is/was a Christian nation because we were mostly all Christians. That is changing.
I don't like it.

But what we need to do is come off our high horses long enough to take a good long look at why Christianity is losing it's ground. Where are we missing it?

People see something in today's Christianity that they don't like. I have a feeling that TV Evangelists & Mega churches with uber rich pastors don't help at all.

I just think people have their shoes on backwards on this "Stop the ground zero mosque" thing. Especially since it isn't on ground zero and it is a community center.

We need to get over ourselves and then reevaluate ourselves.

I think people are looking for something real ,not weird ,but spiritual , real answers to real problems.Not metrosexual hoopla ,sipping lattes talking about paradigm shifts. Christianity has to get back to the grassroots so to speak, and we need to be able to tell the truth in love . THE REAL TRUTH about Jesus and only he can save us from ourselves and HELL .

In NYC, there are hundreds of thousands of pentecostals. Most are independent. Many came from Puuerto Rico and many are ethnic converts.

Muslims are using tolerance and manipulation of the media to get a foothold.
If some one confronts me, I accuse them of being a bigot, they have to back off and prove they are not a bigot.

My teens accused me of being old fashioned. Other kids do it. So to be hip and modern, I must become permissive.

I have been called a bigot as well.

It is so much easier to label and dismiss someone who does agree with you than it is to attempt to listen and see where they are coming from.


It bothered me the first couple of times. Now I know in my heart and in the reality of my everyday life, my associates and friends that I am not a bigot.

I never considered myself a bigot. The first accusations I took very serious.

Now, I just laugh in their face and tell them that it is obvious they don't even know me because if they are calling me that and are serious, then they really don't know me.

I know what you mean , I was answering the "where have we missed it " part . I have been called old fashioned myself, Amish even, and this by people who are supposed to be of like faith . I feel we need to stand for the truth,and not compromise . As far as the Muslims using the tolerance card I believe they are going to use whatever means they have to ,to do what they have planned to do to this country.Also there a alot of limpwristed liberal lawyers who are glad to sell out for a buck that will jump at the chance of a civil liberties law suit. Now you may call me a bigot.

That's not the point and it doesn't justify the overriding bigotry and racism! I happened upon a conversation recently of three older caucasian men who were discussing the worthlessness of Mexicans. It was SICKENING! THEY WERE BIGOTS and RACISTS. Period. I have no problem saying and saying it doesn't make me anything except truthful.

Jackson and Sharpton are outnumbered by millions on the racism scale. I'm not worried about them. And even if they ARE racists....what does that have to do with OUR OWN problems?

No seriously, the President is not racist, bigotted and has said or done nothing worthy to be compared to Jackson and Sharpton.


I am not so sure that Jackson and Sharpton are bigotted-- as in hateful or thinking that blacks are superior to others or whatever. I don't agree with some of their methods, but attempting to do things to help a black people in America does not mean they hate white people. It only means they see a need and are attempting to do something about it.


When Jackson ran for President in the 80's, did he not have the support of many Americans of all colors to get him to that level of prominence-- or was it just all black people voting for him?

All the years of Obama sitting in Pastor Wrights Church in Chicago listening to hate of the whitey lets us observe Obama's support of racial bigotry. A non bigoted person would say this doesn't sound right.

Obama's job description as an ACORN organizer/trainer tell us he was a paid bigot. He taught how to shake down banks for money using racist accusations.

Obama's jolt regarding the cop at harvard was a racist reaction. His having Sherrod fired was racist. Holder has a handfull of incidents under his belt. On one hand he protects racism and the other hand has openly stated certain race motivated deeds will get a clear ruling.

Yes, as long as we can find someone of a minority culture who is perceptively bigoted, then our own bigotry seems justifiable and many jump on the easy bigotry bandwagon.

Thanks for explaining how the intolerant and bigoted left is joining the bigoted and in tolerant Muslims to punish and teach a lesson to the widows and orphans that express hurt by the killing of loved ones and don't want Muslims around.
These that lost loved ones derserve being lashed out at and taught a lesson in forgiveness, according to the judgemental libs.
