Chris Christie handles a heckler

I enjoyed it, and he has a point. Out of all the articles I read on him, he seems to be a decent guy.

Re: Chris Christie handles a heckler

Not sure that was a good move by Christie... made it look like he was standing up for the woman....

But I gotta say, the heckler looked like he felt stupid. They aren't used to being confronted.

It did look like he was standing up for the woman, which some might construe as sexist.

However, I still enjoyed it. The heckler definitely was not expecting everyone to be cheering against him towards the end, and it showed on his face.

Some might construe it as weakness in the original speaker if she is to be a serious candidate. I understand what he did, but it may have been better to have given her the opportunity to fight her own battle.

I'm a bit confused about the "if you're going to yell at anyone, yell at me" statement. Wasn't he a guest there. It would make more sense if this were in his stae and the speaker was a visitor. Just my opinion.

I felt a unity between the two and largely a unity between the two states when Christie stood up for her. It was like a big brother standing in between his sister and a bully - Kudos to Christie. :thumbsup I hope she wants to govern after his example. I don't know enough about her.

I understand what he did. I'm just saying that if I were her campaign manager, I would not want the image of a little sister running for Governor of a state like California. You want people to realize that someone at that level of leadership is capable to handle his or her own bullies....unless of course you can convince Californians that Christie will always be there to fight for her.

That was his motivation, Stew. It was an awesome display of unity. Feel the politics, breath the politics, relish the politics, let it seep into your mind and soul! :bliss :toofunny

It was clearly a good move. It was reported to be a chavinist move? If you are chauvinistic I guess.

The heckler was just another angry plant. Yes the heckler looked stupid.

I recall a union leader in Christi's state sent members a memo wishing him to be dead. That puts him into context.

His behavior. It is very clear proof. Rational people can listen. He was shouting as loud as possible trying to keep rational humans from hearing the lady that had a microphone speak.
I realize you didn't notice it but Gov Christi did. He was also in front. People with a healthy mind, go listen to what speakers have to say.
The liberals claim to respect women. This liberal was using his big mouth and interrupting her. He should be ashamed. When Gov Christi approaches him, he starts shouting and the veins stick out on his neck.

The Democrats are very angry. They are trying to scream and disrupt speakers that will replace they failed party members. His nasty behavior is proof.

YAWN.

Of course it was a GREAT MOVE. It's your guy.

His defending the lady was definitely something any of us would feel to do, but I agree with TStew, that if you are running to be the Governor of one of the largest states, you may want to have the opportunity to fend for yourself, and not give off this "i'm a weak little girl who needs a man to step in for me" vibe -- whether or not it's true. Let's be real. Meg Whitman is a sleuth. But it's how it looked. So from a campaign manager perspective, I'm sure they are looking at that differently.

But of course there remains not an ounce of objectivity....

LOL This means there's no proof.

Coadie, visit a few political speeches. People there to protest against someone can often do so on their own volition -- and do.

His nasty behavior is proof? So only plants have nasty behavior? :toofunny

Your logic is the EXACT same logic used to explain the beginnings of last year's "Town Hall" charades. Explain the rationale in bringing your hunting rifle to a Town Hall meeting to discuss Healthcare Reform?

I don't own a hunting rifle. It might not be out of place taking one to an event to discuss death panels.

Reform that includes rationing and death panels is a little scary.

Where did you come up with that?

The idiot behavior is proof he didn't fit in. If he behaved like you would, I am sure you couldn't see anything wrong.

LOL! Not to worry, I don't post much on politics here like I used to.

Doing well, still painting and in unventilated areas. LOL! :mal

Another case of unions not doing what they claim. Hire people and cheat them out of benefits. Minimum wage plants.
