Songs that speak to you...
I know from my experience that many songs really speak to me. Some are christian and some aren't. What are some of the songs that speak to you? A few of mine are U2's One, 30 Seconds to Mars The Kill and A Beautiful Lie, Foo Fighters The Pretender and these are a few of the secular ones. Many of the songs from Hillsong speak to me too.
The song The Pretender really has been talking to me lately. |

If I could ever claim a "Personal National Anthem", it would be "The Pretender" by Foo Fighters. |
Re: Songs that speak to you...
I've never heard the pretender before.

"The Revelation Song" really stirs the Spirit in me. Love to listen to it when I have my quiet time with the Lord.
As for my life, it would be "Here I go again" by Whitesnake. Funny that as I type this that very song just started playing on the radio. |

Songs that speak to me are to numerous to count, but I usually have one or two that are floating around in my head on a rotating basis.
This one has been in my head/heart for the last month or so, "Red Eyes" by Switchfoot. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a81_Lad1ml0 |

"A Praying Spirit" by James Cleveland is just one of many songs that speak to me.

I am a big Switchfoot fan. The song "Red Eyes" is for sure a good one.

In fact, I have posted versions of that song by Cleveland and the Clark Sisters. I like the Cleveland "Live" recording released in '80 of that song better than the Clark's '78 recorded version. However, I posted the Clark Sisters singing that song (in the 90's) at a church and that version, not available on record or cd, is better than the Cleveland version, hands down. |
