Can We Crank It Up A Bit????

I know ya'll are wanting more civility around here but, for crying out loud, can we get with it a little?

I mean, here is a sample of some of the blistering, hot threads now being generated on Apostolic Sleepy Forum:

Plus-size Wedding Dresses
Enjoy Your Midweek Service
Happy Canadian Thanksgiving
Family Pictures at a Cabin
I'm Going Overseas

Come on, people, where's the energy????

Ok- Mr. Smith, here is a question that generally gets people going; what it the craziest thing you have ever been condemened to hell for doing?

Mine was wearing a hat- because my hair was supposed to be my covering, not anything else...

Oh, and I can't forget skiing... not that I ski- (when I have tried, it has not been pretty), but I remember a Bible College discussion about how God only approved of Men skiing, not women- because they had to wear men's attire in order to do it... :ursofunny

Without question, there is no greater fashion faux pas than the pentecostal girl's ski outfits, the ski gauchos. Oh goodness. And we're supposed to believe that THAT doesn't draw attention to one's self???

I understand how correct spelling would be unusual for you.

Not going to the altar one night when I was a kid... Was told by a OP preacher that God directly told them that night was my last opportunity for repentance and I missed it. LOL! I was like, 9 or 10... maybe 11 at the most. And I was already baptized in Jesus name and had "spoken in tongues" to their satisfaction, but they'd discerned that I still had a rebellious spirit and that night was my only chance to repent. They didn't feel the need to relay this message from God to me until after I'd missed it though. :blah

God could have texted me? Hmm... we should suggest that to Him. Of course, when I was 9 cell phones were something reserved for millionaires and they were about the size of a rotary phone. lol

Oh man, don't get me started on the countdown altar calls. People throw around the term "False Prophet" all the time, but any idiot that would do that is NOT of God in anyway at all!!! It causes mental and emotional scarring that can last a life time and distort one's view of God so terribly, they run from Him forever. Absolutely inexcusable.

No scripture to support these notions?

Right after my husband and I got married, he had an accident at work and he couldn't hardly walk because of his back. He decided to go ahead and go to a revival service. During the altar call he stayed in his seat because his back hurt so bad. The evangelist anounced from the pulput that he was going to hell because he was rebelling toward God.

OK, here's my question... I haven't been around much lately so I don't have the complete low-down on a certain poster who seems to be dominating the board right now...

Is everyone sure this an actual person and not just someones insane alter-ego??
Because I am having a hard time buying that someone that removed from reality is not on a mandatory psych hold. :girlytantrum

Major shucks. We had a grumpy trucker that went out to his truck to get another half dozen pills for his back.(during invitation) He came back in and went forward and got baptized in Jesus name. He came out of the water pain free. I started a home bible study 2 weeks later and he was still grinnin' with his testimony.

I have asked myself this many times, and I've done a little Hardy Boys detective work to see if I can find out if he's legit. And so far, believe it or not, it appears that he's the real deal. Shocking, I know.

He's funny (even though he's not trying to be) but after a while, I mean, if that's the best we've got, we're going down in flames.
