Why I Preach Against NECKTIES!!!
 

(All in good fun) For years as an evangelist preaching in UPCI churches I was always obligated to wear a necktie. However after a 120 day fast and at least 15 minutes of prayer I came to this revelation ...
Not only are neckties cloth necklaces, they are also a subliminal message. A tie is nothing but a very inappropriate and obvious arrow!

My pastor last night had a necktie on that actually had V's on it pointing down. I was like, "Whoa, man, you should read a few threads on AFF!" It literally looked like this:

On the top half of the tie. He also had on a pinstrip suit and I kidded him about it saying that vertical lines make you look slender.

I love my pastor, btw.

10 Reasons why CHRISTIAN MEN should REJECT the EVIL PRACTICE of WEARING A NECKTIE:

1 As a piece of clothing a necktie is SUPERFLUOUS. It serves NO FUNCTION BUT ORNAMENTATION. This makes it by definition IMMODEST and OSTENTATIOUS, appealing to the LUST OF THE EYES and PRIDE OF LIFE! (1 John 2:15)

2 As such, a necktie is nothing more than SILK JEWELRY!

3 Neckties are often made in BRIGHT COLORS (like RED, PURPLE and even PINK) and BOLD, PATTERNS. Again, this serves no purpose but to DRAW ATTENTION to the FLESH!

4 Most neckties are made of SILK. We all know what silk is used for: WOMEN’S UNDERWEAR! This makes wearing a necktie a VILE ABOMINATION according to DEUTERONOMY 22:5!

5 Furthermore, many of the patterns on neckties are SIMILAR or IDENTICAL TO those on WOMEN’S DRESSES (i.e., PAISLEY or even FLOWERS). ABOMINATION!

6 Many designers of neckties are KNOWN HOMOSEXUALS! Why would a GODLY MAN want something HANGING AROUND HIS NECK that is the personal expression of the PERVERTED HEART of a SODOMITE?

7 Whatever Lot had in Sodom, HE LEFT IN SODOM. Shouldn’t you leave this FLIMSY FLAG OF SODOM behind as well?

DEAR SAINT OF GOD, HOW CAN WE CHRISTIANS TOLERATE OUR PREACHERS, SINGERS, AND SUPPOSED LEADERS PARADING ACROSS OUR PLATFORMS ADVERTISING ON THEIR BELLIES EVERY SIN OF UNCLEANNESS AND PERVERSION THERE IS? WE MUST PUT A STOP TO IT! PRINT THIS MESSAGE AND SHOW IT TO YOUR PASTOR. TELL HIM YOU MUST WITHHOLD YOUR TITHE AS LONG AS HE INSISTS ON SPENDING IT ON SUCH ABOMINATIONS! GOD HATES SIN! sad so many are focused only on the outward perishing things...when billions of people set chained in heathen darkness...and I am probably UC to many however why preach EVERY ONE must baptize in Jesus Name and sit in plush pews wrapping holy robes around us singing What a friend we have in Jesus inside our castles while billions yes billions perish without the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ?

I have family members that work for the Voice of Martyers...sometimes I am afraid we live so far removed from reality it never dawns on us of a perscuted church and the thousands who live in places where just to mention HIS name is a crime...

So often we ALL major on minors and monor on majors...May God forgive me...

Bow ties are especially evil-men who wear bows are surely effeminate! And since the necktie was derived from the cravat, which is a form of the bow tie, and that makes them just as wicked as bow ties, just for that reason alone. :toofunny

What's funny to me is that when preachers actually don't wear neckties on the platform, they are actually ridiculed as "emergent" for their casual style of dress in the sanctuary, rather than be lauded for following hard after the spirit of the "costly array" scriptures.

I wish some would start preaching against neckties. We would all be more comfortable in church. Also, maybe the singers could reach some higher notes without the constriction of a necktie noose.

Not shore why the church ever allowed neckties in the first place? is there some unwritten dress code based on 1906? I have a personal conviction on plain modest dress with out add-on's like ties, cufflinks, pocket squares etc and my pastor respects my convictions but do wonder why the modern church does the whole suit and tie thing?

I think you all have lost all sense. If you can't keep your Holy Ghost while looking at a man in a necktie, you don't have enough to get you off the ground.

Almost every article of clothing anyone wears is designed by someone you don't agree with; why wear it?

Ties are made of silk because silk is easier to tie into a pleasing knot. Have you ever tried to tie a cotton tie?

You are all foolish and judgmental and that has no place in ANY Christians life!

I know where this comes from.

It comes from a compromiser that hates and mocks good men for taking a stand.

It is not a joke. This is written in the same spirit that was conveyed by a well known preacher.

He was listening to Elder Steve McMullen Preach "The importance of direction" at 97 PSR Conference.

While all the people were worshiping and glorifying the Lord as the elder preached, they were running dancing and just having a Holy Ghost time.

While on the platform he leaned over to an evangelist and said "This ain't Holiness preaching real Holiness preaching will put you on your face."

That is the filthy spirit of the compromiser. Heis no longer alive and the evangelist is no longer living for god.

This is not hearsay, I heard it from the horses mouth.

As the Guy was trying to convince me "all that Holiness ain't necessary."
