We rented an entire school for convention
 

This year we rented an entire school for our convention. While it is impossible for whole churches to come most try to send a pastor or someone from each region. We have people already traveling from the Amazon jungle, stopping tonight in the state of Goias for a housemeeting and a bed. Tonight another group leaves from the northeast. A pastor and his wife arrived this morning from the state of Maranhao.

Our son Michael will also fly from Maceio to be with us. There should be at least 10 states represented and maybe more.

We are so excited.

It is so humbling to watch the people arrive with little sacks of whatever to help.We do not have matteresses so hundreds will sleep on the floor...oh to be rich to buy matteress!

Last weekend was youth congress in Maceio church, this weekend national convention and next weekend regioal convention in the state of Bahia...In Dec. is regional convention in the state of Minas...

Please pray for our strength...and the needs of our people.

how many churches are you associated with? Are these all of your churches that you have planted or is there an organization you are associated with?

These are churches we have planted during the last 42 years. Our work is a national work.

Such wonderful pictures. Did I read somewhere before that ya'll are ALJC or is this an Independent National Work? Just curious, nosey,...These things really interest me.

No we are an Independent National Work..we have friends in lots of groups but our work here is a national work.

Tonight is the first night so it will be at the local church and tomorrow we will have the entire school...Our son Arlei from the jungle is working helping take things to the school. Our son Michael and son in law Chad have gone after veggies and son Ednei is sleeping as he and 4 other brothers got in from the northeast...They drove 37 hours straight...just stopping for gas and food...
A lot of us will be working tonight after church but I personally will just give suggestions...ha...good to be a senior missionary....

However I am scheduled to teach a leadership seminar tomorrow afternoon and they gave me 3 hours...lol...

It must be convention season...Pastor Jim Baker and a group from Peace Church and the Apostolic Christian Network are in Brazil having a leadership conference. I think they are around the same area.

Yes, someone told me they were in Brazil. Strange as it may seem that is what we are having tomorrow afternoon...leadership...Looks like God is trying to speak to the Brazilian people. We had an awesome service tonight.
