He is the opposite of Obama. That makes him popular.

Rubio is not a Republican that is simply 100% against everything attached to Obama.

Neither did he run his campaign as an "Anti-Obama" Republican-- anti-establishment, anti-political culture, but he never made it personal against Obama. My opinion is based off of what I have read and have seen up front with him and his people, as a volunteer for his campaign.

Furthermore, he is a real Conservative Republican, a real person, and not just some other politician.

Obama says the Republicans are the enemy.
Obama ran his campaign as anti Republican.

Ferd,

I have said several times already that I am much more Conservative in real life than how I present myself on AFF.

Why are you presenting yourself in a less than honest fashion? :grampa

Really?

I never looked at it as such as muh as I see it as an opportnity to see things from another POV-- present their arguments, hear the responses I would give and so on.

Some of the stuff I do really believe.

President Obama is not the worst President ever-- that's sincerity. I didn't vote for him before and I probably won't vote for him on the 2nd go either.

Some of the other stuff, well it's just good sometimes to see how far I can walk in another man's shoes.

I believe him to be future President material.

I am almost positive that his roots are with the Tea Party down here, while some are speculating that he is already beginning to distance himself from them and their associated baggage.
