Pet Peeves

Personal space: I understand on a subway train or on an air plane, but in line at a store some creepy looking dude has to stand less than a foot away from me is invading my space. And then everytime the line moves that person sticks to ya like glue.

Another Pet Peeve: Going to a fast food place and ordering chicken strips or tenders or whatever and they don't ask you what you want for sauce. Then when you kindly tell them they drop something in your bag, you drive off and get home realizing they gave you enough for one stinking strip!

I hear ya! It is like going through the Taco Bell drive through and telling them you want the Fire sauce (for 4 soft shell taco's) and finding they give you 3 packets -instead of the 8 that I would have normally used. And if you get someone who hates anything spicy they will hear you say "Fire" and automatically put in medium or hot.

You want catchup with those fries? Is 1 pack enough? Are you crazy? Is one enough for YOU?

They act like every condiment they give out comes out of their paycheck

Even worse is when they give you no hot sauce at all. I went through a taco place a while back and ordered tacos.... got down the road and realized they'd given me NO sauce. It's the only time in my entire life I've eaten tacos with no hot sauce. Not even the same food! Yuck!

This is one of my all-time major pet peeves. At the top of my list. And I don't care if they're creepy looking or beautiful. Give me some SPACE. I've started keeping the shopping cart BEHIND me. And even then they'll often nudge the cart into you. :pullhair

Drive a big motorhome. It's fun to watch their faces whe they finally figure out that that mammoth vehicle isn't going to move for them (a lot of the time I can't move anyway). The funniest moment I had was when a guy came down the entrance ramp, saw I wasn't moving, braked and tried to whip in behind me only to discover I was towing a car behind me. He ended up on the shoulder. :neener I had a good snicker over that one.

Okay, you race drivers out there, it's a speed LIMIT, not a REQUIREMENT. :grampa

On the subject of drivers who drive to slow, during rush hour the 101 and 202 become bumper-to-bumper parking lots here at times. And even when traffic is inching along at 30 mph, there are always some morons who feel they need to keep that 1/4 mile distance between them and the car in front of them -even though they are matching the traffic speed in the lanes besides them. And since they are matching the speed of everyone else it is near impossible to get around them.

On a related note, I've never understood the people who do that at red lights and stop signs. Keep a car length's distance between them and the car in front. Why?

Maybe to prevent an accident in case they get hit from behind.

There are quite a few around here who do that -sometimes staying 2+ car lengths behind the one in front. I am waiting for the opportunity to actually pull into one of those huge spaces when my own car is in the right position to do so. They left the space, so why not use it?

That is probably what their thinking except it is also incredibly greedy since there is not enough road space for even half the drivers to do that. It is also taking caution to a level that you really do not need to take it, such as towing a whole other car behind you in case the one your driving were to break down.

Re: Pet Peeves

Here is another big one: Carry on bags! Nearly every flight I am on they run out of overhead space for bags because people are bringing their max amount/max size bags with them. Nothing like seeing a family of 5 with every person having having their two (huge) carry on's. Then there is the moron (that word again) who puts in their bag sideways thus taking up at least two spots. Kind of like the person who hogs 1/8-1/4 of a mile of road ahead of them in rush hour traffic.

Pet peeve #3: Those who live in a constant state of being offended, constantly attacking, and then claiming martyrdom and victim status at ever turn.
