Just wanted our Administrators and AFF members to know, if any post of mine comes across as offensive......

Too bad!!!

The Word of God says that if you love God's Law you won't get offended at anything, so if my posts offend you, you're the one with the problem, not me! :toofunny

I remember hearing a sermon by Billy McCool on James 3:2 where it says, "...in many things we offend all..." He took that to mean we all offend at many times. So, to apply James 3:2 to AFF, we all offend here at some time or another.

We live and work in a world so troubled. The people we deal with everyday are bound by an unseen power that many know little about. You and I are the BLESSED ones for we know the Savior of the world. l love to come to a place where we can encourage one anoother.
Just last night one of our pastors that works with people recovering from drugs and things like that wept as he talked how the life of sin had ruined so many strong men...he told me horror stories yet told me about some that have recoved and are recovering. He asked me to come speak to these precious forgotton souls...

Our forum should be filled with Christians and here should be a place where we tell our experiences not rip people to shreads. I know we do not agree on many things but even so we can be kind and not tear one another down.

In one of the most agonizing hours of our Lord he called Judas friend...Oh! what love for his betrayer...I fall short I do not think I could do that...but other christians have reached that level of love...I once read where Corrrie Tem Boom extended her hand to a once brutal prison guard that had beat her and her sister and if my memory does not fail me he had raped them or some of the women...

We must strive to be like Jesus...With every passing day I see how little material things really mean...and how much a helping hand is so important.

I cringe when hard things are said. I know there is a time that decisions have to be made and things of that order but we can love to the end...

Well...so much for me thinking out loud...

Jesus was offensive all the time...and he knew it. Is it inherently bad to be offensive? Seems to me that most of the time, people that are the offended need to get over themselves.

Probably. And people that offend need to work on being more gentle, speaking in love and seasoning their words with Grace. 2-way street... one that I have work to do on both ends :)
