Maybe the difference is in deleted posts.

If you click on your last post the number #16 and look in the URL you'll see the other number.

900,000+ - the official posts without deleted ones.

Yep - just tested it -- the 950,673 post is without the deleted ones.

I added a post that made it 950,674, then deleted that post and it dropped it back to 950,673.
