Donald Trump for President? Whaddya Think?

Listening to Sean Hannity. DT is hinting very strongly that he is going to run. Said he would make an announcement in a few months.

Would you vote for him?

Re: Donald Trump for President? Whaddya Think?

Those are some mighty narrow choices you provided there. I hope no one votes on any of the options unless they actually fit their feelings on the question.

I say this. He has new, fresh and improved rhetoric. But, if elected, would change nothing.

More of the same... different flavor.

Really ? I dont know, I think he would be pretty harsh. Make a lot of people mad, but for the better of the economy.

I have met DT at a motivational speaking seminar.
He is very engaging and likeable in person.
I do not know where he stands on several of the issues that are important to me, however.

I would vote for him, but the economy has already made it's turnaround.

We are on the upswing of things, though it may not have trickled down to everyone yet.

Since none of our candidates will be Holy Spirit filled, it does not too much sense to make too big of a deal over his moral issues.

Good unsaved people and immoral unsaved people go to hell when they die anyway.

Still not buying the trickle down theory, the economy will start coming back stronger because the tax cuts were extended, but it will not be a strong come back due to the uncertainty of whether they will continue to be extended.

However, I believe if he could pull it off he would make the recovery a lot faster just with the budget cuts. What I like about him is that he has nothing to lose or gain from doing the right thing. He will have no concern of a political future.

The strength of the comeback will intensify as we go along-- with or without a Democrat in the White House.

Remember the 1990's?

It was real.

The prosperity before the dot.com bubble was real.

The dot.com bubble was real.

The dot.com burst was real.

So was the recession that followed.

The global economy waxes and wanes-- especially as the economies of the world become more globalized.

Truth about the 90's. A trillion dollar dot com telecom bubble. Maybe actually closer to 3 trillion. People that are afraid to read about economics also can't read about business history.

Unemployment and housing starts are as bad as could be. The economyt is stagnent.

No, Clinton "projected" a budget surplus. the news of that "projection" is what drove people to spend. Problem was, it was just "projected", it wasnt real, it was on paper and most of it was to be funded by loans from China. Much of the surplus was in military cuts which were stupidly large, he all but shut the military down knowing all these things were going to come back to roost but not until after he was out of office.

His casinos have filed for bankruptcy 3 times ... he has himself .... and he has benefited immensely from a creditor-led bailout ..

Perfect.

I think it's great ... the Donald spends money he doesn't have and uses the system to bail him out ...

Sean Hannity ... has proven he's a driveling, hypocritical koolaid drinker if he in any way supports a Trump candidacy.

Well we know he's willing to donate to Democrats ... like Anthony Weiner.

The Donald is inclusive ... I like.

Not a poll option for me... I won't vote for him but it isn't for immorality or because I would be voting for Obama... I just don't understand the fascination this country has with celebrities, and at this point, that is how I see him... just a celebrity who happens to be a businessman. For that matter I don't understand why politician's wives end up in office when the only reason their name is known is because they were married to someone who became a politician.

Was the first thing that came to mind. Ronald Regan was a celebrity? A celebrity running for office doesnt bother me nearly as bad as a politician wanting to be a celebrity...sarah palin for example. Fred Thompson is a celebrity and I would love to see him in office.

That's a good point! However if Donald Trump could give a speech anywhere near as eloquent as the one Reagan gave back in 1964 or so (guessing on the year) then he could convert me. lol.

For that matter, Clint Eastwood was a mayor and Jessie Ventura was a "wrestler", if I remember right, so I guess they aren't all bad. Then there is Ted Nugent! :)

BUMP

It looks more and more like The Donald is going to make a run. The more I hear him talk the more I am becoming a fan. I think the man understands leadership. He certainly understands economics. Lobbyists couldn't sway him. He would fund his own campaign. He wouldn't need a salary. The man would put country first, I believe.

He has stated he would play hardball with China economically. He knows what it would take to rid ourselves of debt. He knows about job creation. He certianly is successful in just about everything he's involved with. He certainly would come to the Oval Office with vast executive experience, unlike the current president.

I hope he runs. I think he's more promising than any of the potential GOP candidates.
