This has been a major winter for us in the Midwest. We have have several mid season service calls that only happen when the stoves and furnaces are used more than normal.

It's been in the mid 80's every day here the past couple of weeks. Although it still gets down to about 50 at night.

The Nashville area warms up to 73 on Thursday and it will be Sunny. The convertible is in the garage with the top already down waiting for Thursday!

Speaking of Spring, we just mowed for the first time and moved our irrigation up to every 3rd day.

Amen, brother...

I'm just waiting until it warms up just a tad more to finish planting my garden. Okra is not tolerant of cold. I might try putting the seed in the ground next week. I think I just about have everything else planted. The first think I planted was two 100 ft. rows of Irish potatoes and one 100 ft. row of carrots. The corn, radishes, mustard, cucumbers are in the ground. The tomatoes are still in the hot house but are coming along real nicely. I have both the determinate and also the indeterminate varieties.

Wow! You're busy and it sounds wonderful.
We have our huge and ever growing crop of moss expanding as I speak.

Seriously, and sadly...we get spring around July sometime. Then it's right back to your regularly scheduled never ending fall....yikes.

I'm ready for spring, myself! I've had the windows raised today and plan on it tomorrow. Temps been in the mid- to upper-70s here in Dallas. Spring fever really hit me yesterday driving back home from East Texas, when I saw more wisteria vine blooming and dangling from power lines and trees. Nothing like seeing wisteria in bloom, not to mention azaleas...

It's crazy. We had 8" of snow last mon. And today it was 84 degrees and I got a sunburn!

Our snow has been gone a couple weeks now. We've had a few days of high 60's and low 70's. But....dry. We could use rain...small chance tomorrow, but it includes chance of hail.

Today it is sleeting. I can't believe we are getting more WHITE stuff!! (That deer in the backyard was from the internet but it is pretty close to the truth!!) I have a lab to drive to an hour away today. Good thing I have an all wheel drive. Hope the weather lets up.

Here's an actual picture out my backyard this morning. The snow is coming down pretty good but I don't think the pic does it justice. My husband keeps a trail plowed up to the shed. We call it "The Cat Highway". :)

As usual California is freaky. We had several inches of rain in one day to sunny the next while in other areas they had snow and hail. For the last two days it's been sunny but not as warm as I would expect it.
