How to Hurt an Atheist
 

A federal judge has ordered a Texas school district to prohibit public prayer at a high school graduation ceremony.


Chief U.S. District Judge Fred Biery’s order against the Medina Valley Independent School District also forbids students from using specific religious words including “prayer” and “amen.”


The ruling was in response to a lawsuit filed by Christa and Danny Schultz. Their son is among those scheduled to participate in Saturday’s graduation ceremony. The judge declared that the Schultz family and their son would “suffer irreparable harm” if anyone prayed at the ceremony.

How is this kid going to make it in the real world. Watch out if a Muslim puts their rug down and prays in front of him. It happened to a friend of mine at a lab where she was waiting to get her blood drawn. She left.

As a Jewish kid listening to and even participating in prayers during public school hours and functions I can say it did me no harm, actually it let me know that God is available to everyone....

The Muslim religion is accepted because it doesn't convict of sin like the name of Jesus or his written word. The Muslims teach conversion by progression and not repentance now.
They teach that their god will start a progress that will cleanse them..
Our religion says, Repent and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, turn from your wicked ways. And all that is in present tense which means do it now.
Hell is going to be a big place. Someone told me once that God had to enlarge it once already. I don't know where that is in the bible, but the person who told it to me would have known.

On the news tonight, it was reported John Cornyn (R-TX) was standing behind the school district in appealing the ruling, as is the school's valedictorian. I commend them both, as it is absolutely absurd ONE person made many suffer.

Two or three in the audience should stand and recite the Lords Prayer most would join them, and the judge's "order" would be a joke.

... though, it does say that "hell" (sheol or the grave; "death") has enlarged itself. Austin's friend seems to have been implying that God had expanded a place of eternal torment because the "original" didn't have enough room.

If she left then there is cause for concern ...if a Muslims prayer can hurt , then just think of what a Christian's prayer could possibly do to an athiest..

I have a problem with those who want to be seen prayin.. and you can tell that's all they want, since they are willing to press the matter in court..We have too much church on our shoulders in America..Madiline murry Ohair sued and offended every right winged Christun in the country..when she stopped prayer in public schools through the Supreme Court decision in 62. but she lost her son whom she sued for when he became a Christian...And Christians
lost their manners , showing themselves to be but carnal..Prayer in public schools would probably continued the false belief that we're Christians by birth in this country..a lie that continues to plague most of this 80% Christian, 47 billion dollar alcohol guzzling population.. :highfive:smack:foottap

The judge is guided by the law. the law has presidents one of them takes into consideration the rights of the minority..

The government of the United States has decided that religious institutions already have many privilages which the minority does not..

one of the things Jesus told us to do is to treat others as we would want to be treated..

such a requirement is not made for atheists nor governments..but for us..

I believe that Jesus wants us to win the world with either one hand or both hands tied behind our back so that all the glory goes and belongs to him..

please take into consideration all the rights of the martyrs of Jesus.. in Revelation 6:9-11, and how that in spite of all their tribulations during the first three centuries, Christianity flourishes today and shall flourish in virtually every nation in the world; and that means that they were incredibly successful..because it was not of themselves but of God...let us glory in Jesus Christ and not in our self will and glorying over others whose rights in this country are equal to our own..let us show them every mercy and grace we would want ...:highfive
