What are your giftings?
1 Corinthians chapter 12, Ephesians chapter 4 and Romans chapter 12 speak of "gifts' that God has given to humans and to the church. I don't know if those are exclusive lists or not. Romans 12:3 says we are to think rationally about ourselves. I think this means we should not think too highly of ourselves but neither should we put ourselves down.
Just out of curiosity, what gifts do you think God has given you? I think my gifts are intercession, serving, teaching, and giving. I think I am an intercessor, servant, teacher, and giver. |
Re: What are your giftings?
My gift is song. I sing, although the last two years I have let that gift sit on a shelf because of an ongoing Divorce. I also cannot sing in the church where I go, due to not paying of tithes, but I do worship God from where I sit. I think it is the only Gift that God gave me. Or do you consider singing a Talent? Either way, God blessed me with a good strong voice, and I try to sing whenever, where ever I can.

Re: What are your giftings?
My gift is small group ministry (a lot of the fivefold ministry manifests in these settings).
I used to sing with the praise team and really enjoyed it, but it's really not my "gift". lol My pastor let me sing though I couldn't tithe. That is odd.... |

I'm not questioning their rules, they're welcome to have whatever rules their membership base (or attendance base) allows them to get away with enforcing. I'm asking why people put up with this. It doesn't make sense to me. If you're good enough for God, why aren't you good enough for them? Or, do you believe you're not quite good enough for God because you're not good enough for them? |

I don't want to be boastful...
I thank God that He's trusted me to be a blessing to the body of Christ. I serve through preaching, singing, administration, 5 fold giftings and other things like helps, giving, faith...etc. Again, feels awkward to list them. Let's say, I've done nearly everything in the church from Pastor it to clean it. :) |
Re: What are your giftings?
My gift is being the local tech support.
Sure, it is a position that is often looked down on because it is not "spiritual", that is until someone actually needs me -then it gets real spiritual real fast. |

I know what you mean. It could make me feel like, "Hey! Look at me! Look at these gifts God has given me!" I hope we can just honestly look at ourselves, see what we do and what we do well, and consider that our gifting. |
Re: What are your giftings?
I have no gifting. But, for those of you who feel led to, I will recieve any and all "gifts" you would like to sow into my ministry. Gain God's favor and live in super abundance by obeying God with your "gift" of any size to me.
Serously though, I don't know if I have a "gifting". I use to preach, write a little sometimes, but, if thats my gift to God, well, its pretty inadequate. |

Administration, Mercy, and Giving. I'm NOT a risk taker or a visionary. I'm glad that those are my husband's strong gifts.
