Time for a new photo thread!

I'll start by posting a few we took during our 2nd voyage into the Grand Canyon yesterday.

Here is a classic view of the canyon.

Starting our hike. You can see tiny people way below us as our trail switched back on itself. (It was extremely steep.)

The path farther down. The drop off on both sides was stomach churning!

A humming bird!

The sunset and a picture of my wife trying to capture it.

Trust me, these photos do not do it justice. They also do not show just how high you are when you look over an edge.

Thanks, I'm in the process of learning. LOL Although I always get knocked down 1 or 5 pegs every time I look at the photos that the true professionals keep turning out.

Great photos! My only Grand Canyon viewing has been as I flew over :airplane

I'm nervous right along with AQP. I'll enjoy from afar.

Thanks. I am still learning. Of course whenever I think mine are really good I just look at many of the other photos on the site and the opinion of my own changes fast. LOL

Post that "Horseshoe Bend" photo here and you'll have a fan club. Did you use HDR on that? It looks as though there is the slightest touch and the overall effect is really, really good.

Yes, this is an HDR made from three pics and combined using Photoshop CS5. Since I did this one I got Photomatix Pro which does a much better job.

I should probably mention, uhhhh, that this is a site frequented by many professional photographers and some of the subject matter is, uhhhhh, of an adult nature (thats 'nude' to those of you in Rio Linda). But I would also encourage people to take a look since many of the pictures are absolutely stunning!

Great pics Randy Wayne. My wife really wants to visit the Grand Canyon and walk out on that plexiglass platform 3,000 feet above the floor that enterprising Indian tribe has put in and charge $75 per customer.

Not only do they charge $$$ to go out there but they do not allow camera's! Guess who WON'T be doing it.

Here are some Christmas pictures I took last night at a Tempe neighborhood where every single house on a certain cul de sac decorates to the hilt. You can see all the people that come to see it!

Last night my husband and I, with list in hand, drove to several neighborhoods with elaborate light displays.
Several give you a FM location so the music is in sync with the action.
Fantastic lights and fun_______but these folks have too much disposable income and wayyy toooo much time :jolly

:horn :christmasfire :bells
