Here is make the make believe world of Shultz, it is easy for me to think that the comic strip Peanuts is about me. There is nothing vain about it. I am, after all, the main character of this cartoon world. Lets face it, I am the reason that the Peanuts comic strip is a success. :D


However, there are those that have posted on other forums (such as Wordshare, or the old NFCF) that can't stand that this place called AFF could continue to succeed without their presence. They cannot seem to accept that they are not the reason for the success of a forum, or the failure of one. This cybernet world does not revolve around you, friend. While you may add to it in a good and positive way, or a positively stinky way, whether you stay or go, it will continue to turn. We are all the expendable crewman. None of us are the reason AFF succeeds, and not one of us can cause it to become a failure.


So as I finish my post here, I again repeat the title of the thread to the tune of the song it resembles....

I do know that there have been some posters in the past that actually thought the forum would cease to exsist if they left.

It might change the dynamics of the place, but I'm pretty sure there is no one that important.

What is the purpose?

I have intracted with people like you mention, CB. Their heads are so big thy can't walk into many places without offending most of them.

The truth is that they are so broken insde and are not trusting Jesus for their completelness that they must fine it someplace else...like an intranet forum or dirty pictures. I may not be the best speller, but at least I know who I am and who I belong to...that makes me a whole person and acceptd by God!

I dont need no stinking internet forum! But I do have fun here when I can log on and I lke the peopole to!! This forum does fine without me, so I know your not talking about me.

True. But when reading some of the comments here including the opening post I couldn't help but think about the fact that people are people and people talk and express their opinions on a myriad of topics on these forums. AFF is no exception to that of course. And I've read comments on this forum and on NFCF and FCF ..... on them all actually ..... about other forums where snide or critical comments have been made.

And how do you know if people on other forums are talking about this one? Who's reporting back and why? What difference does it make? It's only natural that people are going to express opinion.

Sorry, but I'm just wondering what the purpose of this thread really is? To get a message across to people who no longer post here? Is there anybody on this forum who thinks it would sink if they vacated the premises? I haven't read any posts to that effect.

What difference does it make if someone is critical of AFF? There has been a lot of criticism of both FCF and NFCF in the past. I've heard negative statements made about GNC and other forums as well. So what? ;) :)

Well if anyone leaves it does change the dynamics of the forum. However, I don't believe any ONE person leaving can affect it so greatly that it could cause closure to a forum.

Hmmmm.....come to think of it, I do remember some inordnate amounts of arrogants from some poster(s) who seemed to thing that NFCF revolved around them and that a forum couldn't exist without them.

It seems that there is a void here they haven't filled.
