We were able to bring them from the jungle JUST in time...Our son drove 21 hours and made it just less than an hour before his father in law passed away...

Sister Gilene came from such a dark area where idol worship reign...she went away to work in south Brazil when she was in her teens and it was there some years later she came to the Lord and later married our son Arlei. Due to the distance and cost she really has had so little contact with her own family. It burdened her that they are bound by such rituals and even though they are good people it is very hard to get through to them. In these places people blindly follow the priests and Rome...they are chained and live in fear of witchdoctors....
For people like this sometimes it takes years for them to understand...years to even shime a tiny light into their hearts...they shy away from us so it was a miracle that they let us have a service before taking the body to the priest...

We live in a complete different world....

we raised money for them to get there and now we need to faith it in for them to get back to the jungle...however for 43 years have we trusted him and all these years He who called has never failed to speak to His people to help His little ones over here.

You know some people make jokes about me always asking usually for others...however the little ones that we are able to help are so thankful.

We personally did not plan to go as it is so far from here but the longer we thought about it the more we felt to go. Gilene stood with me the whole 10 months my mother lay dying and washed and dressed her for her funeral...I felt like I needed to be there for her too...so that meant raising funds really for 2...we came from our area and saw to it they they come from their area...

For me it was very tiring and the weather going was horrilbe rain...Micheal and his family went with us and his glacoma was bothering him...and he was helping us drive...thank God for protection over those horrible highways,,,

Our son Arlei wants to leave there sometime next week if possible. Please help us pray about this. thanks so much.

So glad God's people made it possible for her to see her father before he passed...It gets very lonely for them so far away working at the edge of the jungle in such dire circumstances. Thanks to all...they are now on their way back home. Most of the need was met and am sure the rest will come in.
