Re: Myers Briggs Personality Test

And my results are in: INFJ...

"You are:
moderately expressed introvert
moderately expressed intuitive personality
slightly expressed feeling personality
moderately expressed judging personality"

Some statements were borderline for me. But, overall, the above results are pretty accurate.

Re: Myers Briggs Personality Test

Every time I've taken this test I get INFJ.

This is supposed to be the rarest of all personality types (especially among males). I think less than 1% of the population is INFJ. Interesting that there are already four INFJ's who replied to this thread. :thumbsup

Most folks miss the objective of the evaluation.

Myers-Briggs style tests measure four aspects of personality, based on how we prefer to receive and process information:Extraversion vs. Introversion (E/I preference)
2 Sensation vs. intuition (S/N preference)
3 Thinking vs. Feeling (T/F preference)
4Judging vs. Perceiving (J/P preference)

It is not about personality types. it is about communication style preferences.

Another shortcoming or two is that some folks think it portrays aptitude. It doesn't. It is not a predictor of success.
The flaw in assessment is the use of introspection which may be innacurate.

It isn't shabby.

Very interesting that you post these statistics. :highfive

I, myself, have rarely ever been part of "the majority" as far as the social scene is concerned. But, that doesn't necessarily mean I'm "stuck-up." It's just that I've always been a quiet and observant person, taking in and analyzing what I see and hear...

Re: Myers Briggs Personality Test

It's pretty interesting.

Can this test be broken down into likely male/female or hetro/homo groupings?

Dagwood 07-25-2011 12:23 PM

Re: Myers Briggs Personality Test

There's another "personality" test using colors -- blue, green, orange, and gold. I can't remember the name, but my colors were green followed by orange.

I'm an INTJ. On another forum that I frequent, there are a lot of the "rare" types. I think some of those types are drawn to communication on the internet rather than real life socializing. :)
