Yes, I carry a Gun!

So the State of Nevada issued me a permit to carry a concealed loaded pistol while on business or pleasure in their beautiful state. When ever leaving my hotel I have one of four pistols I brought with me on my right hip. Anyone else here carry a pistol?

Also, I don't want to read any nonsense. If Peter carried a sword and Jesus didn't complain......well......

I will tell you folks this. I was at camp meeting two years ago and I took one of my pistols. I had it loaded and by my bedside. I awoke around 3AM and my pistol was gone! I jumped off my hotel bed and pulled off all the covers and the pistol was gone. Then I said to myself, self, someone came into my room while I was sleeping and stole my pistol. For some reason I felt to check my luggage bag that was on the other side of the room. Inside my luggage bag at the very bottom my pistol laid. I said how did this get here, then God spoke and told me, " I will protect you." Fear fell upon me and I unloaded my pistol and stored it away.

So I guess I'm being a bad boy right now by carrying a pistol.

I have a glock and a 38. I'm not a bad shot. If you come through my door at night and think you are going to rob me or worse, don't count on it.

So are you saying God spoke to your heart about the gun but carryone anyways?

You go girl! Which Glock do you have?
I'd rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6.

Well at the time I had it laying by my bedside when it disappeared into my luggage bag. But to answer your question shamefully, yes. Only when I'm in Nevada though.

Don't you think that your actions are dangerous in more than one way?

I'm not judging you at all-- former military guy who has no problem with killing in the proper context.

Just the testimony you gave and then your actions don't marry up. It caused me to pause.

I have carried a gun for 35 years on and off duty. Can I be a police officer and still be a christian? Maybe being a christian police officer may save someone elses life, just like a christian might save some sinners life who is not protected by the power of God

Judged by your own words. Don't need anyone else to say anything.

I buy and sell guns as investments, I carry them all the time, from my closet to the car, from the car to the new buy or from the seller,....

Always someone wanting to buy or sell.....

Got a Cobra 38 Special double barreled derringer for sale right now,....

I have a permit to carry concealed in Maine, but don't carry often. I own a Springfield XDm-40, and it's not convenient for concealed carry. My aim is getting better, but I need more practice.

I haven't settled the issue in my own mind about carrying in Church. I've heard both sides of the argument but haven't come to my own conclusion. I am convinced that I will defend my family with force, if necessary. I am priest, provider, and protector of my home and those most dear to me.

Friend of mine had a night intruder. Guy walked into the bedroom. Friend grabbed the gun he kept beside the bed and aimed. Didn't fire. Good thing, too. The intruder was his own child.

Not saying nobody should have a gun. Just sayin'.

Jermyn,

I don't think my actions are dangerous. I do remember walking some years ago and this guy was hanging out of a passenger door. He was either about to throw something at me or shoot me. As he stuck out his hand I turned around and he yelled, dropped what was in his hand and he began shaking his hand. Did God supernaturally burn his hand, perhaps. In 2007 I was driving in CA when these gangsters pulled out a gun, pointed at me and pulled the trigger. I heard the click. Did God make that bullet a dud if it was loaded, yes. Police came but couldn't find them. Last year I was driving to church and another gangster started throwing gang sign at me and wanted me to get off the car to fight him. I tried driving away and he tried blocking me in traffic. I made a u-turn and struck his car to get away. Police came, other guy drove off, and witness gave their statement.

I didn't have a gun on me during these events. Sure God kept me, but having a pistol on me wouldn't have been too bad. I'm a people person and get along with everyone. If I had a pistol on me and was confronted by a group of thugs, I would walk away and tell them I don't want any problems. However, if they were persistent and demanded something of me by threat of bodily harm, and if God didn't intervene, I would without hesitation put a window in the body of any individual threatening my life.

Should I carry a pistol after my "camp meeting" experience, probably not. But that's a situation I'm working out with God.

But God already told you He will protect you! What more is there to discuss?

I have lots of guns, believe in buying them, having them, shooting them.

Just took a red fox out the other day, 100 yards off my front porch with a .22

Took him right in the ear. Gotta protect my chickens!!!

I'm about as red necky, hillbilly as it gets! God, guns, mashed potatoes and gravy!!!

Had too many fleas on it, threw it away. The skins are only good here from about Nov to end of January. Killed this fox because he killed one of my hens.

There is a large vixen that wiped out the other hen houses on the road. One killed 15 in one night. I feel no sorrow for a dead fox.

I would reinstall the original stock. Pistol grip on a shotgun makes it look "cool", but you want one shot drop. Pistol grips on shotguns are harder to manage during firing.

If you decide to kill some one, you better hide the gun, cause those unregistered firearms can get you trouble Scott. :)
