Where am I going???
 

Okay im seriously looking to move away. Ive "planned" on 2 to 3 yrs but sooner would b better. And I need some ppl on here to help me out and plz b serious when responding. Things im looking for in the location im gonna move to is cost of living, job opportunity (would love to continue to work for a call center but not in sales) and finding a good conserative church. If anywhere has any ideals to where I can get those things or if anyone has any ideals of things I need to equipt myself in this moving process that would be much appreciative.

To tell u a little bout where im coming from and why I need to get out of my location so it will help on sum ideals from yall. I live in Indiana desire to go SOUTH of here NOT NORTH also Im in an area that every Apostolic person knows me and I dont have a good rep. Im not running away, im just looking to start fresh, to where I dont feel like if I go sumwhere and see an Apostolic person they r going to hold sumthing over my head. Im 31 single and feel like it could possibily help my future, not that im moving for trying to meet a mate, cuz I kno God could just drop him into my life rite here, but im ready for an adventure. Ive even been told by several ppl including a former Pastors wife which knows all circumstances in my life that it could be the best thing for me.

I currently own my own house totally paid for (very small), but dont want to sell it. Ive thought bout renting it out and letting a real estate agency have control over it. Just incase in several yrs I want to come back. Plus it will give me a little extra $$$! I kno I want to rent where ever I go, at least until I know it perminate. Which I know will be hard cuz im not used to coming up with a house payment or rent, but figured Id use the $ I got from renting my house out straight on that.

I also kno when I move im not telling ANYONE where im going or when im going. I have talked to SEVERAL ppl including my mom to let them kno that I am eventually moving so they will kno ahead of time im fine. Then thought a month after I move id send a letter to my family (thru the real estate agency which will only kno where I am, then they can forward it on) to let everyone know im fine, thought id change my phone number as well. I know sounds extreme but honestly it is so necessary in my life.

The Dallas area is great for housing, churches, and jobs.
The Oklahoma City area is great for housing and has lots of call center type jobs, but the church options are more limited. There are good churches there, just not as many as in Dallas.
I was in a similar situation about 6 years ago and moved.
It has worked out for the better, although I still miss some things about my old place.

Yea I kno houston has an at&t call center, but wonder wat the cost of living is there compared to Indiana? Id prob live in the outskirts of a big city, I live bout an hr from Indy now. Any good conserivate churches down there, if so would u b able to give me sum names even if thru email? Thanks bunches!

Yes maam prayer is always necessary. I figured id b visiting a few places next spring. Call centers are always sooo easy to get on at as well. :) thank u

Sandra, I hope and pray things go better for you I really do!

Please understand the support and direction you will receive on an online forum is limited at best. We don't know you and you don't know us.

Is there anyone at all you know and respect enough to give you guided counsel? I am not saying this to shut down this thread or stifle and help you might find here. Just keep your expectations of advise from online forums realistic.

REALLY??? Im not seeking counsel. Not that im against it. I know im on a form that ppl live everywhere. Im mainly asking if ppl know a place thats south, that is lower cost of living that has call centers, and has conservative churches. Easy as that, so I kno where to research. Sorry if I got more detail, there are times I need to vent, which I know ill never do on here anymore. Im hardly on here to begin with. This will b my last thread. imo, if you have a home and a job I would not think of moving anywhere right now with the economy the way it is

you might be better of commuting to a church that is farther away if there is another church within an hours drive of you.

How about the Carolina or Virginia areas? If u r still from the north...it won't be such a season shock. Texas & Arizonia are too hot, unless that's what u need. Louisiana unimployment has gone down ...js Check for jobs first. And never move out of emotional feelings. :2cents

I did not mean "counsel" in any way but good. Just stating the obvious more or less, that a real person you know and trust is always best to bounce ideas off of. By no means should that prevent you from discussing here - please continue.

As to where I would go if I went South? I would go close enough to the water to get some ocean breezes. It's not South, but I like Oregon or Northern CA - about 30 miles inland.

Now the call centers I don't know much about. If they aren't sales, what are they pollsters?

Omaha is not south, but it's the king of call centers, of all varieties; very low unemployment; there are conservative churches ; not sure on rent, housing costs are average; we have hot summers and cold but not freezing winters......imho, course I'm a northern native :heeheehee

Now that we have that all cleared up...:D

From a sensible standpoint, your best bet would be to move to a state with NO state income tax, such as TX, TN, FL, or VA (I believe VA has no SIT). Since I'm in the Dallas area, where I live is very nice, half establilshed (but still well-kept), the other half new, up and coming.

Call centers. AT&T is based here in Dallas and there are call centers here -- One AT&T Plaza in downtown is one of their main campuses (if not the main HQs) but there are several other offices around the area as well. If you're willing to expand your opps, health care is pretty big here as well. Hospitals (Tenet, Texas Health Resources, Baylor), clinics, and insurance companies (like BCBS, Aetna, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare) with multiple campuses.

Church-wise, got plenty of those too. From one end of the spectrum to the other...

Okay yall im really trying to stay off this site, but I think im addicted! Help!!!! Lol well anywhooo, I think one place im gonna go visit is going to be Round Rock TX. So if anyone has any information on that place can u shoot me it. Ive looked up cost of living, and churches. But if anyone knows how much it would cost me to rent a one bedrm "house" plz lemme kno. Plus I have two dogs, id love to have a fenced n yard at least part of it. So the doggies may make my rent go up. Or if anyone has any other good places, im still researching sum other places as well.... Thanks for all yalls help.

Round Rock. Good choice. Nice, affluent suburb of Austin. Just hope you don't have to drive into Austin to work. 35 has been a nightmare every time I've gone through there. If you do, though, hopefully it won't be too far in...

Crakjak is right, you will be hard pressed to find a one-bedroom house in Texas. If you are checking out Rock Rock, you might want to check around Pflugerville and Georgetown as well. Nice communities.

This one might fit your lifestyle. I'm pretty sure it's more than one bedroom, but isn't having too much space about as much of a "problem" as having too big of a paycheck?
