well let me tell you about mine..he is from Chile, his native language is Spanish...however we speak Portuguese most of the time. He is typical South American he still opens the car door for me...he is romantic, easy going....thinks before he speaks and is a good manager. He sings beautiful and plays the guitar...and we are total opposites...makes things interesting...I love him very much and depend on his level head.

October 16, I will have been married 23 years. We are now separated, going on three years. Raymond is a great guy, good father and an awesome singer. I wish that things could have worked out different for us, but God knows. I want only the best in his life and truely hope he finds his happiness.

I have been married for 36 years to my husband.
A very good, honest, and hard working man.
He knows I love him and I know he loves me. :)

I've told you all so much about Walt on here that you probably already feel like you know him well. Actually, a few of you have had the privilege of meeting him. He's the best there is! And like you, Sis. Alvear, we are total opposites. But that really works for us :)

Our 34th was last week. Had dinner at The Melting Pot, and it was awesome!

It's a fondue place, and very nice. Expensive, but worth it, at least for special occasions. We had the "Big Night Out", plus wine pairings -- one for each of the four courses. Started with a cheese fondue, then a salad (shrimp ceviche), the entree (we opted for the "Mojo" cooking style: "Caribbean-seasoned bouillon with a distinctive fresh-garlic flavor and a citrus flair". Yummy!) , and a chocolate fondue dessert. Ooooohhh baby!

Fifty two years with this sweet man has convinced me that I could never love
another like him. We just enjoy being together.
We enjoy our 6 adult children,(three of each), and their original spouses. Our
21 grandchildren, ages 1 yr to 28 yrs. The 28 yr old and his wife gave us our
first great-grandchild. The blessings of the LORD maketh rich!

We went there for our anniversary a few years ago. Very nice!

My husband is awesome. :) Very generous, considerate, dependable, romantic, thoughtful. Just all around great. :)

The Melting Pot is the only restaurant I have ever walked into, looked at the menu and turned around and walked back out. I guess I'm just a cheapskate. I could not justify spending that much money for a single meal no matter how hard I tried. I did sound good. But nothing is THAT good.

I have done that many times - but not just based on price. I will step in and ask to see a menu or look at a buffet to help make up my mind...

I checked out the Melting Pot website and pricing. It's quite pricey, but without wine a couple could get by for around a hundred $. I don't mind doing that once a year or so.

I'm sorry. Did not mean to sound like a huge spender... we are frugal in many ways too. Certainly, I would view it as something more of an evening experience rather than just food.

That is why you go every year or so, and splurging on a VERY good dining experience does wonders for the romance. :)
Unlike most restaurants, the typical meal there will take 2+ hours.

In June we celebrated 42 yrs together.
He's great, just last week he brought me a bouquet of flowers -----for no reason, just that he loves me. He's more romantic than I am.
