Over 100 Filled with the Holy Ghost Tonight!
I just got the report from Pastor Bill Godair that over 100 received the Holy Ghost at Cornerstone Church in Salisbury, NC tonight.
Pastor Rod Parsley of World Harvest Church in Columbus, OH preached and they had to turn hundreds of people away as the property was PACKED & OVERFLOWING! Great Revival in Salisbury and they are about to build a major church building on newly acquired property on I-85 in Salisbury! http://www.salisburypost.com/News/02...s-property-qcd Pastor Clint Brown from FAITHWORLD in Orlando, FL will be preaching tomorrow night. http://www.cornerstone-church.net/ God Bless Pastor Godair and Cornerstone Church Campus in Salisbury, NC! |
Re: Over 100 Filled with the Holy Ghost Tonight!
Cornerstone church is selling TICKETS to their services??
http://www.cornerstone-church.net/events.php Now THIS makes me want to puke. |
Re: Over 100 Filled with the Holy Ghost Tonight!
The ticketed events are the two SPECIAL night Events. - they do not normally have a Saturday evening or Sunday evening service. These are SPECIAL EVENTS in a 25 year Anniversary Celebration. The church members will have complimentary seating but still have to have a free ticket for crowd control. This is to prevent people showing up that DO NOT HAVE A TICKET as there are only so many seats and the law enforcement and fire department will only allow so many people on the property and they are having overflow crowds.
Seekerman - I would not expect you to even try to understand - but that is the way it is. Have you ever paid to go to a concert or banquet or to get into a SPECIAL EVENT? |
Re: Over 100 Filled with the Holy Ghost Tonight!
Seekerman - I noticed that you did not rejoice in your post about the over 100 that were filled with the Holy Ghost tonight. Would you post on here about how wonderful that is that over 100 were filled with the Holy Ghost at Cornerstone tonight?
Will you rejoice with me about this? |
Re: Over 100 Filled with the Holy Ghost Tonight!
No matter what, this is an AWESOME report of God's glory.

Re: Over 100 Filled with the Holy Ghost Tonight!
Great news AB!
Tell me, how is Bill related to Johnny? |

That would make Johnny & Kenny - the uncles to Bill. They were ALL UPC but Johnny & Kenny left with the World Wide Pentecostal Wrestling Federation and Bill left the UPC a short time ago and is independent. Funny thing is - I have preached for ALL of them! LOL |

Hopefully a bigger auditorium will be built (now there's a great opportunity to separate folks from their money) so that maybe next time 200 folks will receive the Holy Ghost instead of 100. What a foul and putrid religious system this is! |

Here Seekerman, I found your missing donut hole

I'd not eat that. Lord knows where your fingers have been!

Re: Over 100 Filled with the Holy Ghost Tonight!
They also have a ticketed service with Paula White coming up..
I think Bro Johnny Godair needs to preach at his nephews church! |

Re: Over 100 Filled with the Holy Ghost Tonight!
Isn't this amazing that these guys are so messed up religiously that they cannot rejoice that over 100 were filled with the Holy Ghost last night at Cornerstone Church? AMAZING - while Angels are rejoicing - these religious know it all wind bags refuse to celebrate what God is doing!
You guys don't have a CLUE and that is the reason I stay off of here most of the time. Pearls before swine! |
Re: Over 100 Filled with the Holy Ghost Tonight!
I hope these people are true converts and God's glory will show in their lives.
The only way we know if people are saved or have the Holy Spirit is the evidence of the Holy Spirit of a changed life and the fruits of the spirit. As much as I cringe at the thought of all the TBN crowd and the hype that goes with it I know that God can use an event like this to draw people to himself. I can't decide if I would rather take my chances with the TBN folks or the UPC folks but I think the pastor at this church is sincere and truly wants to please God. It might not be ideal but no church is perfect. |
Re: Over 100 Filled with the Holy Ghost Tonight!
One of my pet peeves is going to a UPC meeting and them calling for people to be baptized in water and receive the Holy Ghost and they never lead them in a prayer of REPENTANCE! The first thing you have to do is REPENT of your sins! Do you guys not think that is important? I attended a large evangelistic outreach of a UPC and the word repent or repentance was never even mentioned! People received Walmart gift cards if they would be baptized and those that "spoke in tongues" got Walmart gift cards. I was appalled and told the pastor - you will never see these people again - big numbers that day - but the winners of the bikes, iPods, gift cards did not return!
There was NO genuine repentance! I really want to know what is up with that??? |

Re: Over 100 Filled with the Holy Ghost Tonight!
Wow. I'm reading through the thread thinking this is so wonderful ! Seeker obviously has some issues because there is no reason in the world any apostolic (regardless of beliefs) would not rejoice with you. Would love to be in the services. And just when I'm ready to post all the "Praise the Lord", "Glory be to God"................................ we gotta turn it into another "bash the UPC". :girlytantrum
With all due respect, your news is wonderful. . . . . but you people really got to get a life. |
Re: Over 100 Filled with the Holy Ghost Tonight!
Scotty, I HAVE a life and it is outside the UPC! These guys get on here and slam everything that is not like them and refuse to rejoice when people are filled with the Holy Ghost! Everyone has an opinion and mine is that you must FIRST REPENT! What is so wrong with leading people in a prayer of repentance and teaching people HOW to repent and ask God to forgive you of your sins?
Do you think just being baptized is enough? If you do not repent - you are just going down a dry sinner and coming up a wet one! |
Re: Over 100 Filled with the Holy Ghost Tonight!
Awesome, Praise God.
Lord help us to have a clean heart and a right spirit. Amen!! |

Repentance is a change of heart and mind, not a prayer. I think you would agree on this though. |

Re: Over 100 Filled with the Holy Ghost Tonight!
Most people in todays culture - have no clue what repentance is or how to pray. I deal with this on a daily/weekly basis in ministry. I fought the prayer of repentance just as hard as any UC but when you live and minister in the inner city and some of these people have NEVER prayed or seen someone really pray in their lives - they must be taught so - I always lead people in a prayer of repentance and teach them how to pray - how to approach our Father in the name of Jesus and how to pray to God for forgiveness of their/our sins!
I agree that Repentance is a CHANGE of heart and mind but if people do not know how to vocalize that - then I can help them with a prayer of repentance or simply TEACHING them how to approach God in Prayer! |

SO WHATS YOUR POINT ?!? You have allowed someone with no obvious kudos about themself to come on here and turn your awesome testimony into a bashing thread. You have allowed a spirit of division to win one up on you. And that is truley sad in light of great report you come here to post. You feel better now you got your bash on ? |
Re: Over 100 Filled with the Holy Ghost Tonight!
Praise the Lord!
Just dont let Dan Scott baptize them! |

ROFL! I think if Pastor Dan baptized them - they would be baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ! But...If his ministers baptized them...No telling what they would say and do!

Re: Over 100 Filled with the Holy Ghost Tonight!
A ticketed event doesn't always mean a fee was charged. I have been to a service out here where TD Jakes was going to minister and they ticketed it because they couldn't have too many people in the building because of the fire code. Do we know FOR SURE that there was a fee associated with these tickets?

Re: Over 100 Filled with the Holy Ghost Tonight!
Bill Godair's church really seems to be growing. It was just a few years back that he was meeting in a smaller "multi-use" type facility. Good for them. :thumbsup

Just $10 to hear someone beg for money. Believe me, there'll be some sort of special offering taken, some sort of money oriented message preached. That's the nature of the beast. It's about M-O-N-E-Y. |
