What is this world coming to????? GRAPHIC CONTENT

This CBS News report broke my heart and made me sick to my stomach. Human beings have such capacity for evil sometimes that it completely baffles me.

In CHINA, a toddler is ran over by a truck and left in the middle of the street. Worse, multiple people walk around the toddler and do nothing at all to assist or call for help.

Article: http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-503543_1...91-503543.html

Quote:

"The video from Foshan City of Guangdong Province in China is unequivocal: A two-year-old is seen lying in a pool of blood on a market street having just been hit by a truck, which sped away after slowing running over her with its back wheels too, after which more than a dozen people walk around the toddler, non offering help.

The child, named Yueyue, survived the accident, after a 56-year-old rag collector finally came to her rescue and dragged her out of the road, but not before a second truck hit the girl, according to China Daily. She is now, however, in rough shape - "brain dead," doctors say - and is unlikely to survive...."

AGAIN - video content is GRAPHIC and shocking--don't say you weren't warned.

That is absolutely horrifying - however, my first thought was this. In China, abortions are forced upon women - therefore, the people have no real respect for human life - especially children. So sad!

I was deeply disturbed by this. But I felt something come to mind.

We in the church meet in our nice tabernacles, put on a Christian concert, have a professional speaker, and give our money to keep the building and pay the speaker. We quibble over silly "standards" that just make us look stupid. We try to invite people... but all too often we don't really share our lives with them.

The church is busy about it's religious business while a world of over six BILLION people die in the night, destined for a devil's Hell.

I feel deeply convicted for my lack of passion and zeal for the Gospel. Am I letting precious souls die at my feet as I simply walk about my day on the way to work, home, shopping, entertainment, and then a church service? If so... God help me.

I work for a large corporation with many overseas locations. A few years ago I worked on a project with an executive who traveled a lot to China on business. He said that there are parts of China where if a bus driver hits a pedestrian they will back up and run over them again to make sure they are dead and not just hurt because if they are seriously hurt there is a lot more money and paperwork involved than if they are dead.

In Mexico, if you help someone hurt in the street, they will (possibly) hold you liable, so people wait to see if they can drag themselves to the curb, then they'll help them. This world is a sick place.

AncientPaths 10-18-2011 08:30 AM

God help us. So disturbing. I can't even make myself watch the video. I can't even come close to watching it actually. Maybe because it hits too close to home since I have a toddler around the same age.

And all it took was one person to sue a good samaritan.

I woke up one morning to a girl screaming for help, she was involved in a two car accident one block from my home. I ran down to see if I could help. Her and her friends in the truck seemed ok though one was banged up pretty good. The other car was in the ditch, I found a young lady thrown between the two front seats. She was wedged between the two bucket seats with her shoulders and head basicly in the back seat but not touching, so her head was just hanging back in mid-air kinda. From the sound of her breathing it was obvious the angle of her neck was restricting airflow. I jumped in the back seat and picked her head up enough to lay it on my knees so it was level with the rest of her body. You would have thought I had pulled a knife out and killed her, the crowd that had gathered around the car to stare at her was hollering at me to leave her alone or I may get sued. We sat there like that for what seemed like forever (this was 15 miles from any town or ambulance). Her eyes were open but lifeless, just staring back at me, her breathing was gargled and labored. I began to pray over her, not sure if she could hear or see me even though it appeared she was looking right into my eyes. Her breathing became shorter and shorter until it finally stopped.

I followed up on her a couple days later, the medics told me she had massive internal injuries and brain hemoraging. They assured me there was nothing they could have done for her much less me.

All I think about is if she could see in those last moments, I'm glad she left this world seeing someone praying over her instead of a crowd of people gawking at her from the road because they were worried about a law suit.

Amen. Such a sad state of affairs when that is the first thought in people's heads. Kudos to you for doing what you did.

My grandmother is in the hospital and needs an operation costing $100,000 and possibly more. She cannot afford the medical bill. Without the operation, she will die. She lays in the hospital bed suffering from pain. Will you do the compassionate thing and, as a taxpayer funding nationwide healthcare, help pay for the operation that she needs? Or, refuse to do so, and let my grandmother die?

Why not just bring her home, making sure she is comfortable and surrounded by those who love her?

Sometimes, the most compassionate thing you can do is just let the person rest in peace.

I am very sorry about your grandmother, I think this will happen much much more if government "healthcare" kicks in. The last thing you want is the government deciding what life is worthy to keep. These are the same people that are funding United Nations abortions! Don't trust them.

A few questions... What are you doing to help your grandmother? Have you set up funds where the community that loves her and knows her can be informed of her plight and can contribute? Are you having dinners and charitable auctions to raise the money? These work very well. I have contributed hundreds maybe thousands to events like this.

Before I had kids, I would have watched the video and commented on the insanity of humanity.

Now that I have little ones of my own, I cannot watch such. I just cant. It is heart breaking. precious little ones not being loved, taken care of... I just cant watch it. I cant even read all the posts or read the whole story.

A few years back an acquaintance of mine brought pictures to show me of his trip to India. we came to one picture and I could not figure out what I saw seeing. My brain could not register it, could not make sense of it. Finally I asked him "is that a human body decomposing along the side of the road?" He said yes, it's not altogther uncommon to see that. The body was almost just a skeleton, a human being dying, left where he died, decomposing . . . many things are unfathomable.

This is common in North Korea also.

We live in a world where only a very few hold with the beliefs that we as Americans hold close to our hearts. We started a revolution with the phrases, "All men are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights. Among them the right to life...." This has defined us as a nation.

Sadly, there are only a few other nations that embrace our view so passionately as we do. To them, people dying is just another fact of life. In Asia and India, healthy boys are kept alive while girls or the impaired both mentally and physically are left to a lifetime of suffering and death. We see such needs and promptly attempt to raise the money so that people do not have to suffer but rather live long happy lives.

We need to pray that God will pour out mercy on this cruel and wicked world.
