This is Andrew Strom. I was a member of his Forum for a long time. He is a Trinitarian Preacher from New Zealand. I was initially very impressed with him. He even has much teaching on his Forum that supports Acts 2:38 as the New Birth.

He "seems" to teach strong holiness. Yet when you actually get to know him he balks on both of these teachings.

Could you expand more on how "he balks on both teachings"

The teaching Andrew is doing on this audio is what attracted me to his ministry and his forum. It is excellent. I think what he says on this teaching would bring people back to a true understanding of Christian discipleship.

If you listen to all of it you will see what I mean.

I became familiar with David J Meyer many years ago through his website called Last Trumpet Ministries. He had a monthly newsletter and other articles on his website. I felt like he was the real deal because he was so pro-Jesus. There are many archives of his newsletters.

He died last year from complications of diabetes and his son took over the monthly newsletters.

I've heard of Andrew Strom many years ago when he was still in New Zealand. He did a study about the "unchurched" people. I never joined his forums but I went to his then website a lot. I agreed with some of what he taught and disagreed with other teachings he had.

I forgot what year he moved to America, but I remember on his website he was dismayed at what he called the "condition of the church" in America.

I believe Andrew is born again. I believe he has a lot of truth. After considering what I said about him perhaps I should have said he does believe the Acts 2:38 message and the message of entire sanctification but does not quite know to to balance such marvelous teaching and at the same time stay connected to the Charismatic Movement.

You know there alot of folks who think if someone isn't apart of their group, they don't have anything. I pray this brother finds a balance.

Are you implying that the charismatic movement "in general" does not emphasize entire sanctification?

Acts 2:38 and also entire santification are very, very low in the realm of Charismatic interest at the present time.

Here is a thread I posted about Andrew a while back.

The link seems to have died to his forum. This explains his view.

Bro. Michael, did Andrew Strom ever give any reason as to why he moved back to New Zealand?

He seemed excited about moving to America way back when.

No info on that. When I came to his Forum he was already back in New Zealand.

Isn't there some member on here that attends IHOP, and Andrew Strom speaks so openly against the Kundalini spirit from there?

The Spirit at IHOP is the Spirit of Jesus. Andrew judges them by things that happened years ago not where they are now.

Re: Romans 8 Are You Walking In The Spirit ?

Romans 6:3-5
3Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
4Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
5For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
6Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

Colossians 2:11-15
11In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:
12Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.
13And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
14Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
15And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

He is saying that we are buried with Christ in baptism, that a spiritual circumcision takes place in our hearts in baptism and we are not saved without it.

It is my understanding (maybe wrong) Andrew moved from New Zealand to Kansas City to have some kind of relationship with IHOP. Apparently things did not work out.

The "Kundalini" spirit Andrew speaks about is far more prevelant in Apostolic Pentecostal groups than at IHOP. When people jerk, shake, vibrate, things like that.

I watch IHOP practically every day. The Prayer Room or the weekend meetings. It is far more orderly than most Pentecostal groups I use to attend. I have seen very little of the stuff Andrew aims at them. When he was there Im guessing was 5 or 6 years ago. I know they had associations with men who were considered to be prophets that fell into sin. Mike Bickle reproved them and I have not seen either one of them there. I think Andrew holds that against IHOP also.

Oddly enough the two men I worked with in the Ministry in the 70's both fell into adultery. I loved them and had confidence in them. Yet both of them drifted and then left their wives for other women. I thank God that people did not associate their failure with my own ministry.

IHOP is not perfect. But they are in my opinion moving in the right direction. When they accept Oneness I will definitely be looking that way.

Andrew is also a good man.

I've never heard of that Kundalini Spirit before. Creepy.

Got to watch who you let lay hands on you for sure.
