CNBC Debate Tonight!

There is a debate tonight starting at 8pm est. Anyone watching? I'm waiting to see if Newt, Perry or Bachman will make a move in the polls with a strong debate performance. Want to see if anyone attacks cain on the sex stuff.

CNBC... Watching it from the beginning. The crowd put those asking the questions in their place when they started in on Cain. THe left leaning liberals may have messed in their own nest when they tried to set up Cain.

Good debate this far.

Newt is still the most brilliant one on the stage in my opinion.

Like I say I'm for Ron Paul, but I'm glad they weren't allowed to eat Cain alive.

perry is dead. he lacks intellectual substance. cain is weak on foreign policy. i think it should be newt or romney.

I do think Perry is finished. I think Cain will go up in the polls a bit as will Newt. If no real evidence comes out against Cain, He will give Romney a tight run and win some states. Romney wins in the end either way.

I keep hearing that, but that line of thinking makes little logical sense.

Democrats would love to have Cain be the Republican nominee. He would present the easiest opponent for President Obama by far. If anything, Democrats are probably rooting for Cain to be the nominee, not trying to take him out this early.

I just saw a clip with Rick Perry.

Wow, he looked bad.

I watched it live! It was bad! He'll be lucky if he recovers from this gaff. It can happen to anyone, (a sudden mental block), but when viewed in light of his other debates.... it looks real bad. The media will tear him apart. The comedians will have a field day at his expense.

Who knows? Only time will tell.

Didnt they ever debate in Texas govenors races ? i dont get it ,its like he is a total rookie.I disagree on Cain, fight fire with fire ? Cain will take the black and minority vote, plus i have heard people say racist names about obama and turn around and say i like Cain and i will vote for him. There is a very distinct difference between the two in peoples minds.

Herman Cain will not take the minority vote.
He is being strongly put down by most African American leaders/celebrities/etc as not being a "real" African American, about being an oreo, an uncle tom, etc.

This is an exception from an African American person

Well i disagree, African american leaders and celebrities dont dictate to anyone but there own ilk, they think they do, but they dont ,if anyone is an oreo, its obama,he is half white after all and btw i do know the technical meaning of oreo.Which is nothing more than an attempt to belittle anyone in the black community who doesnt believe in welfare and blaming whitey for all their problems instead of looking in the mirror.

The final fight will be Mitt, Cain, Newt and Perry. Perry has lotsa of $$$, he will not go quietly. Overall he is doing much better, in spite of the embarrassing brain freeze. I hope to see Newt continue to rise, he is the best suited for the WH, and to hit the ground running.

I agree with your post. I missed the debate, but saw some highlights and the gaffe. It was a gaffe, no doubt about it. But, it looks worse than it is because Perry was already under scrutiny for his debate performance. He has a record of fighting Washington, advancing conservative causes, knows how to grow a pro-business environment, every budget he has signed has been balanced, and still, despite the gaffe, he has a strong record of conservative leadership.

Except for Santorum, no one else took the bait to go after each other. Maria Bartiromo looked perturbed at times. :heeheehee

Interesting...

Gingrich, however, is viewed by many Republican leaders as an unelectable ideas man who, for example, missed a chance to shine as the latest conservative alternative to Romney by unnecessarily instigating clashes with moderators in CNBC's Wednesday night debate.

The best thing that the republicans could have done, considering their candidates, is to have paid a republican to run as a democrat and knock President Obama out in a Primary Election..... If I claimed to be a republicans, and saw what choices I had to vote for, I would be a shame to call myself a republican.

Thats odd. I was thinking any of them would be better than President Obama.

I agree, except that Mitt isn't too far from being another Obama, as I have stated, and this article confirms that others agree.

It ain’t happening: why Mitt Romney is not a viable candidate

Let’s be honest, Mitt Romney is not a viable candidate, no matter what Karl Rove and the media try to shove down our throats or convince us of. Romney is an actor, he’s Obama with a past.
