Are B3s A Thing Of The Past ?
Are Hammond Organs such as The B3 a thing of the past ?
Most churches now have the electronic keyboards which are very good and portable.I suppose many of them can make organ type sounds. But that speaker with a motor in it that go with Hammond organs are hard to replace in sound to me. And what is a tent revival without a Hammond organ ? So is The Hammond organ a thing of the past ? |

Re: Are B3s A Thing Of The Past ?
Nope! There will always be people out there that prefer the real thing! It's kinda' like having the real Holy Ghost! ha!
I think Hell will be littered with electronic keyboards that imitate real organs and real pianos! :foottap |
Re: Are B3s A Thing Of The Past ?
Even C3's are still around! You are correct though that you see them less and less in Pentecostal / Charismatic churches as the style of church music in those churches has evolved from being more Black based to Hillsong based.

I can handle organs. I can handle real piano's. I can handle guitars. I cannot hand tambourines!

and play them in their pew. Playing them no where close to the rhythm of the music we were playing. I tell them if like to audition for our praise team we'd be glad to have come to rehearsal next Friday night. That usually is the last time we have to endure their incessant banging on their tambourines |
Re: Are B3s A Thing Of The Past ?
No, Bro. Scott. B3's are not a thing of the past. We are in the process of purchasing
one right now. The church, that is! Falla39 |

Re: Are B3s A Thing Of The Past ?
I like to hear the old organ opperated under an anointed and gifted musician. I think that it has been to our hurt that we have done away with them in so many places, or people do not take the time to practice and pray as they should.
