Family ties

I titled this thread this, as I have a minor announcement of significant import.
Sometime in the middle of next year, my sister-in-law will be having a child. We have no knowledge yet as to what it will be, but the wait has begun. So I am on my way to being an uncle.

I too am awaiting a new niece or nephew! Hope to find out which it is today. My baby sister is due mid April and I can't wait to have another baby around now that mine are both in their teens. Let the spoiling begin! :) congrats Uncle Jay!

The wonderful thing about being an uncle is that you can have fun with the kid for a while -and then leave when you've had enough (or they need changing). :)

Don't believe the Ultrasound. My sister just had a child and all this time we thought it was a girl, but God had a surprise for us.

I can say I love being an Uncle though.

Congratulations Jay!

When I was pregnant with my children, I had what I called a no-frill pregnancy. I did not have ultrasounds or amniocentesis tests. My doctor asked me why? I said because why should I ? Whatever is found or not found, I will accept my babies as they are born.

I was like Hannah. I prayed for my children. God blessed me with two healthy boys.

My cousin's wife is going to be giving birth to a girl here in the first few months of the next year, and I can hardly wait to see which of her parents she takes after more.

Congratulations, Jay. :) Nieces and nephews (and great-nephews--I have 4 of those now!) are so much fun--especially at Christmas time.

Re: Family ties

Sadly, I will not have any until next Christmas, and they will still be too small to be appreciating much. Although, we will doubtless be appreciating them.
