Our Calling, Coventry Reserve, Has New Website
 

I would like to share our new website with my friends here at AFF: http://www.coventryreserve.org/

As many of you know, Coventry is a day program for adults with special needs, that have aged out of the public schools. Birthed out of our personal need for our oldest son, Anthony, my wife is the executive director. Seems our personal experience equipped us for this lifetime calling and ministry.

I welcome your questions and comments about the program and the also the new website.

Great New Website, Crakjak!

As a part of our annual "Four Sisters" weekend, we visited the Annual Coventry Christmas Store yesterday. While there, we also purchased some lovely pieces of the beautiful pottery made and displayed there.

Wow. Awesome website and even more awesome program. I pray that God strengthens you, the staff, and all the volunteers. What you are doing is sorely needed and is close to my own heart. I was recently discussing the need for programs like this in the Houston area.

Bro. Ferd,
I don't know if they had the pretty red and green angels, trees, and other
ornaments when you came last year, but it seemed they had more different
ones, plus new colors this year. I did not get to go last year so don't know if
they had these new ones last year or not. Lovely, beautiful colors.

Thanks Ferd, we just had our Christmas Store Open House, it was the best ever. Sales of our "special pottery" products of over 22K in four hours on Friday evening and six hours on Saturday.

Actually, it was a visit to a place near Houston that planted this vision in our hearts about 20 years ago. The vision that someone else would do it in the Dallas area! LOL It was about 10 years ago that our best friends handed my wife a large check, and said, "You better get started."

The place in Houston is called "Brookwood" http://brookwoodcommunity.org/ and is on the west side @ Brookshire. It has been there near 30 years, and is a wonderful place, they have generously mentor us over the years.

Thanks, for your kind words, there is nothing like working with special needs, there is so much to learn from them. To see how God works in their lives in the loving environment of Coventry is literally miraculous!!
