Why haven't you guys been posting Christmas pictures, decor ideas, recipes like we do every year? I saw a few in the Cafe forum, but this used to be a fun time of the year for us all.
Here's my front door this year: http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f1.../snowman-1.jpg |

Never too early to teach my grandgirls about the true meaning of Christmas! I love this little manger scene that they can play with as they learn of baby Jesus! Thanks Fisher Price!

Bah, Humbug!! I dream of a Christmas where it warmer than 50 degrees outside, the grass and leaves are green and growing, and I can stand outside and enjoy a very beautiful day in the yard or elsewhere with my family. |

Ponche (Fruit Punch) from Guatemala Ponche is a traditional fruit punch that is only made at Christmas time. Every family has their own recipe, but here’s the basic one that you can branch off of. Makes 2 gallons 1.5 gallons water 2 lbs. sugar 1 fresh coconut, cut into small pieces 1 papaya, chopped 1 pineapple, chopped 6 apples, chopped 6 oranges, chopped 12 manzanilla (crabapples) 10 prunes, whole 1 bag raisins 1 cup dried fruits, assorted 5 cinnamon sticks 3 star anise Mix everything in a large pot and bring to a boil. Simmer for 1.5-2 hours. Ponche can be kept in the fridge for up to a week and simply reheated as necessary. http://www.all-about-guatemala.com/images/ponche.jpg |
