Phil Jones, rgcraig, & Deacon Blues Have Dinner!
 

PJ came to town and contacted renda and myself for dinner last night. We had a great time! We met for dinner approximately at 7 pm and we got in our cars to go home at 11:20! The conversation was so riveting, four plus hours flew by without notice!

Thanks for an enjoyable evening guys! If any of you get a chance to visit with Phil or Renda, you MUST make the effort to do so! They are two terriffic people!

If I ever go visit Rhenda Craig we ain't goin to no stinkin restaurant! She's gonna have to cook for this fat boy. I've heard she's pretty good in da kitchen! :D

It was my distinct honor of meeting and having dinner with the two of them!

We met at Firebirds Grill and had a wonderful meal, but better than that we had a great time talking, sharing and even had a little prayer meeting.

We closed the place down, then stood outside enjoying the time together!

We'll see about that......I don't cook that much anymore. :heeheehee

I've never met Phil, but Renda is a sweetheart.

I have had the pleasure of visiting with both of them (just not at the same time!) and you are correct. They are both terrific people. (even if philjones is a misguided conservative):icecream

Having spoken to Renda on the phone many times, I can say she is one of the nicest ladies I have ever met. Phil Jones is one of the best Gentlemen posting on our board. Deacon, glad to see you were there to pay that check! :2cents

If you & Mrs Boomm make it to Memphis area.. Renda and I will have to work on dragging Matt & family down from Nashville, Sherri from Jackson, Tamor from adamsville... and whoever else is within driving distance-- and just have a big AFF get together somewhere

You wouldn't get me to go anywhere close to Graceland.... NOT a good area of Memphis. IMO You'd have to get someone more brave than I am to take you to get a photo taken at the gates of Graceland. (Isn't that why you'd want to go in the area of Graceland? ) :D

Collierville isn't bad.. and they have a Barnhills... Can't beat the food at there... I'm sure Renda is more familiar with the area than I am. I only know where stuff is in that area if it's on Poplar Ave. :D

Graceland isn't bad during the day....it's a must see for those that have any interest and haven't been. Not much to see from the street thought, so you'd have to do the tour.

I've only been once and it was very interesting, but once was enough.

I can plan a party......not a problem, just let me know when!

Does rgcraig still have that nervous twitch that makes her right eye blink uncontrollably?

I understand it has allowed her to meet a lot of men but also some angry wives who thought she was flirting with their husbands.

Oh, and did she finally break down and buy a wig to cover that 3" square bald spot on her head?

I heard her speech impediment is much better now than years ago and her turettes syndrome is not nearly as bad. I understand she only blurts out..er...inappropriate words....every few minutes instead of constantly.

I have met Bro. Jones he is a fine man. I eeven got to preach to him and NO I did not preach on outward standards. Question to you Memphis folks is Houstons still there?????????? I think it was on Popular?
