Do everything that I have always done since being converted to the Oneness Apostolic belief..... only try to do it better and, of course, do more of it!

Re: 2012 Goals For Believers ?

Scott those are my goals, but my passion and burden for 2012 is to pray personally for the Pastors and churches that I know until Luke 4:18 is fulfilled in their lives. Holy ghost revival, salvation, deliverance, healing, all God wants for us.

Luke 4

14And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about.

15And he taught in their synagogues, being glorified of all.

16And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read.

17And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written,

18The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

19To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

I am going to try to make more conferences, pay off my debts, and be a better Christian. (I also intend to see what everything looks like on 12-22-2011.)

As far as my more spiritual goals are concerned, I want to try to fast at least two days/month, pray for more than 1 hour per day, witness to at least one person per day, and listen to at least one preached message per day.

One of my resolutions is that I plan to read through the Bible in two years instead of one. I have done the one year plan before, and it is good, but I find myself speeding through passages instead of slowly meditating.

So I'm going to try the 2-year plan instead.

Here is the plan.

I like my pastors sermon for the New Year: No More Excuses.

No more excuses for:
not praying more
not volunteering
not fasting
not evangelizing
not witnessing
not getting involved
not reading scripture more

Quite to the contrary....

It was king Solomon, the man of whom God said that he would become the wisest of all the kings of Israel, who was inspired to write AFTER he had expended considerable time and effort in the acquisition of the truth of things (God did not simply fill his young mind instantly with such knowledge, you know, but gave him the privilege of attaining it if he would only apply himself to the search thereof):

"And I gave my heart to know wisdom, and to know maddness and folly: I perceived that this also is vexation of spirit. For in much wisdom is much grief: and he that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow." (Ecclesiastes 1:17-18)

The longer that God grants me to live, and the more knowledge which He allows me to acquire concerning the innermost "mysteries" of the manner in which He does things, the greater my grief and sorrow has become; albeit I also am persuaded to believe that "...wisdom is a defence, and money is a defence: but the excellency of knowledge is, that wisdom giveth life to them that have it" (Ecclesiastes 7:12), therefore I must continue always to remain the student, seeking daily to "...grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. To him be glory now and for ever. Amen." (II Peter 3:18)

No, my friend, I've not yet attained "perfection," but must not waiver in the pursuit thereof, all the while being confident of those sacred truths which He has given to me to possess and exercise.

I am going to try something different. I am going to wake up everyday and thank God for the new day and ask Him to help me be what He expects me to be.

I fail miserably to do it on my own, so now I am going to seek His help.

Kinda what I should have been doing all along eh?

Ha, you'll go far with this. I also see merit in Lafon's approach, I do that MWF nites, and T-Th mornings : )

If you treat every person you meet eyes with this year, without looking away, as if they were a plant that you had $100 invested in, your life will change dramatically this year.

Happy New Year!
