Anonymous poll: How many of you are overweight by more than 30 pounds?

I will go first and say that I am. The poll for everyone else will be anonymous....

this isn't about whether anyone has special conditions or reasons for being overweight, just about whether they are overweight or not.

Ferd 05-18-2007 08:39 AM

i need to loose 10 pounds.

I need to lose anywhere between 30-50 lbs.

Old Paths 05-18-2007 08:55 AM

I lost 3 pounds last week.

Just started cutting back at night has helped tremendously.

COOPER 05-18-2007 09:03 AM

Pentecostal Pariah 05-18-2007 09:04 AM

COOPER 05-18-2007 09:05 AM

ILG 05-18-2007 09:57 AM

I could stand to lose about 10 pounds.

Kansas Preacher 05-18-2007 10:13 AM

Not trying to brag, you understand,

*ahem*

BUT....

I have lost 85 pounds thanks to Optifast.

My wife lost 60 pounds. It will soon be a year since we went on the diet, and both of us are maintaining our weight very well.

It CAN be done -- through a lot of willpower AND God's help.

Thad 05-18-2007 10:17 AM

I'm dropping 5 pounds

"GL" 05-18-2007 10:17 AM

In 2003, my wife lost 50lbs and I lost 48lbs. :thumbsup

Atkins worked for us and a modcarb way of eating helps us to maintain.

Way, entirely, undoubtedly TMI!!!

chosenbyone 05-18-2007 11:16 AM

Well, I'm definitely not overweight! When I was younger, I weighed over 200 pounds. I was a very, plump Pentecostal and now I have to watch out for wind gusts over 10 mph. :lol

See the pic?

Self apparent here.

Consapostolic1 05-18-2007 11:30 AM

I'm probably 6ft tall and my weight is 155. I'm trying to at least gain 10 more pounds of muscle by end of this month.

HeavenlyOne 05-18-2007 11:31 AM

I answered yes because I need to lose about another 40 until I'm at my goal weight. But after losing 135 to date, I'm not complaining about that last 40!

I cannot believe you have ever had to lose 48 pounds in your life!!! That's just too funny. Did you gain weight with your wife when she was pregnant the last time? LOL!

Not that your wife ever looked anything close to fat, but in the pics I saw of her on your site, I noticed she looked thinner.....but she always looked good, no matter what.

*shaking my head at the thought of you being overweight in any sense of the word.....LOL*

I weighed in the 90s until I was in my 30s...Now I maintain a weight in the 120s so I am doing ok for an "old lady"...Gotta use temperance, exercise, and drink lots of water each day!

I carried my weight fairly well, and I actually lost a little too much.

Regarding my wife, she got down to a size four. She was thrilled with that and looks amazing at that weight. I'm sure that will be her goal here again soon. :winkgrin

I want to know what diet you used to lose 135 lbs. Is that too personal a question to ask? You don't have to answer, if it is.

Truly Blessed 05-18-2007 08:52 PM

I'm 20 pounds overweight but it's all muscle! :)

Neck 05-18-2007 09:17 PM

Went from 254 at 5 feet 10 to 173 in 6 months of hard work.

1.5 years later I am 190 and feel great.

It's never about a diet it about a lifestyle

Lol...well, that's certainly a different weight than I thought you were at!

I was thinking if you had lost 30-50 pounds, that 10 mph wind gust was gonna knock you over too! :laffatu

btw...my husband is 6'3" and 275. You better believe I eat my wheaties!!! :thumbsup

I'm dieting and exercising now. All kidding aside I have gained some weight which i don't mind but my clothes are getting too tight and I am not going to go to all the trouble of having them altered. it's easier to just shed 5 Lbs. i can do it in a few days or so
