Tim Tebow, Steelers win

Just heard it pointed out that Tebow threw for 316 yards. As in John 3:16! Kind of cool. My personal opinion is that he is a christian that happens to play professional football. I believe he would be the same selling cars.

He is not asking for all the attention in regards to his faith.

I'm glad for Tebow.

That was a great game. I was rooting for the Bronco's but never dreamed they really had a chance.

Man, that was a good game. I have a buddy who loves the Steelers, so I was glad to see them lose, being the awesome friend I am.

I don't care about his religious views, but I love underdogs and winners. He seems to be both. He apparently thrives under pressure, not playing that great until he absolutely needs to. Great fun to watch, awesome when he pulls it off. I hope he goes on to play for a long time, just to tick off his naysayers.

I will say that while the play in overtime was a great pass, it was an even better stiff arm and run after the catch.

I personally don't think they have much of a chance against New England next week. The Patriots defense isn't near as good as Pitt's was, but Brady is one of the top QBs in the league, and he isn't working off of a bum ankle like Big Ben was. It is going to be a shootout, and the Patriots can score quicker and more often than the Broncos can.

I wonder, if you guys made my name into a verb, what would it mean?

I agree about their chances against the Pats. I think Tom Brady and Drew Brees are so good they are scary. They can really thread the needle on those passes. The Denver defense would have to play lights out for them to have a chance to win.

After the stomping they received from the Patriots the last time, I doubt that they will be moving farther. Patriots defense is stronger than the Broncos' offense, and their offense is better than the Broncos' defense. This means that it will be about as lopsided as their last game.

All of this dissing of Tim T. reminds me of the dissing that occured when another young quarterback won a Superbowl in a game that ended with a field goal. That was ten years ago, and that quarterback was none other than Tom Brady of the New England Patriots.

Patriots D is better than Broncos O???? I thought it was a proven fact that that Patriots have no defense this year?

The Pat's defense is slightly worse than Green Bay's and that is saying a lot!

I am just interested in the Game where the #2 Defense meets the #2 Offense.

FYI. 35 of the last 40 Super Bowl winners had defense in the top 10.
Right now the Pats, Packs and St's have like the bottom 20 defense.

9ers vs Ravens for this Super Bowl!

What I want to know is how does this guy win when he is no more of a QB than Jerome Bettis was?

Because when you stack the box against his run, you leave your secondary open for big passing plays!

It's the opposite of the West Coast offense.
West Coast offense is: establish short passing plays, so you can open up your running game.
When you establish a great running game (5+ yards a carry) then you have to stack the box, but leave the secondary to rely on One on One coverage!

And they are just playing good sound football.

Did you actually see his passes. He was throwing bullets!

Actually, he completed 10 our of 21 passes. However, his average pass was 30 yards. THAT'S FREAKING AMAZING!

But like I said, that is old school football. Johnny Unitas Style. You know, the long bombs of the 50's and 60's. Out past 15 yards.

The commentators today were talking about not only that he threw for 316 yards after being known for painting John 3:16 on his face paint when he was playing in college but that he also averaged 31.6 yards per pass in this game! Pretty crazy coincidence or as someone mentioned God has a sense of humor.

Yep, until he throws next week for 6.66 yards a throw with a QB rating of 66.6. LOL
