What are you doing at this very moment?

I'm at work. Since I'm the IT guy here I'm usually sitting in front of the computer, actually multiple computers. I'm usually logged into AFF which is just one tab out of a dozen open on my browser. I'm heading out in two minutes to help a teacher who has been having troubles with her Smartboard while teaching early childhood.

In fact, the way I read stuff here is the reason for the drive-by natures of most of my posts.

Almost all of them are very friendly but a few, not so much. They range from being pretty computer literate to being called into their room on an "emergency!" which turns out being the the computer won't start because it's not plugged in.

There is only one teacher who's isn't friendly at all and also just happens to be an ULTRA left-wing wacho (who of course teaches Humanities to the seniors).

Over the past three weeks I worked a ton of late hours fixing a few bad servers which are ready to give up the ghost and week or month now. In some ways I prefer it because I can do things without constant interruptions.

Example from something I said in my first post. I went to help a teacher with her Smartboard. The problem is that no video was showing up half the time.

I pressed a few input buttons and badda bing badda boom, it works now.

Great you were allowed to work after hours .We were resticted on overtime because of the budget .Even if it meant shutting the water supply off to hundreds of students.

In most cases, I'm able to remote in from home. When I have to reboot any servers I like doing it as late as possible and usually on a weekend.

I am killingb a bit of time before I have to go to work tonight. My schedule for the week has been intense, but I need more overtime than what I am getting. I hope my pulse settles down a bit as I need to get in to the plasma center.

Done with work which was a huge bummer today. My coworkers mother completed a suicide by gunshot yesterday and she came to work today because she would have been at home alone and was afraid of having the time to think.

On the way home I had an appointment to get an eye exam and new glasses and found out I have some weird eye disease that is going to require surgery to fix, Ugh! The idea of having my eyeball laid out on my cheek sufficiently creeped me out enough to head to Landry's and split the crab platter with a friend.

Got the milking done and now I'm chillin' with you peeps. ;)

After having lasik surgery done, eye surgery no longer frightens me. You'll be fine. :)

How did it work for you?

I'm not a candidate for lasik but can have an older, not as neat and easy procedure called PRK... ewwww...

OK my friend is on my other laptop and she says they don't take the eye out. Thank God!

I wish that I could afford to have the lasik surgery done, however, that takes more money than I have at the moment.

We had ours done about 5 1/2 years ago and took advantage of a $500 per eye deal in Milwaukee, WI. We also got a "Carecredit" medical credit card and both me and my wife had it done for two grand.

Re: What are you doing at this very moment?

I heard that it would cost me about that much alone two get both eyes done. I will have to do more research. I would love to be done with glasses permanently. I envy (in all Christian love of course) all I hear who have had this done. All I ever hear are people who say how great it is to not wear glasses.

P.S. I went to work, came home, went to bed, slept, woke, am now on AFF, and fixing to be at work in a couple of hours.

sitting here at work, eating pretzels, will be off in about an hour.

looking forward to seeing my dog, Siegfried, he gives the best welcomes ever,
and watching Dexter with my husband.

I will also need to log into DAoC and see if the guild needs anything, like people invited, things from the guild vaults, guild bonus buff put up, ect.

Dexter the boy genius or Dexter the serial killer of other killers? LOL

I actually bought my wife the boxed set of season 5.

I cannot recommend it enough! On the other hand while I can read a postage stamp at 100 feet with no effort, my NEAR vision has been rapidly going downhill (pure age related).

Re: What are you doing at this very moment?

serial killer Dexter, my husband is very sympathetic towards him.

when Dex got the blondes husband set up to go to prison,
my husband said "Dex is a better bf for her anyway"

I said, "He is a serial killer," he can't be a good bf for anyone!!!

but, if you were living in a lawless age, like say back in the old West, Dex would make a good sheriff maybe, maybe not.

I have to admit I am a bit apprehensive about season 5. Dexter is already a killer (of other killers) but supposedly he snaps in some way due to the suicide death of his wife.

sitting here trying to figure out why we have items on our open commitment run that we never really received

eating some cheese, with very hot and spicy peppers in it

getting ready to go to the hair stylist to have my split ends cut off, have to convince her to just barely trim the split ends cause I'm trying to grow my hair long for church

yeah, I know, for the purists this is cheating, but if I'm going to have long hair, it's going to have to look good.

meanwhile while my hair is growing out, I'm wearing this rocking, sexy long haired wig that my husband thinks I look hot in.
