Favorite Scripture(s)?

I just love the promises Jesus left us in the bible.
Psalm 37:4 Delight thyself also in the LORD: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

A good name is better than fine perfume, and the day
of death better than the day of birth. ...

Acts 2:39
For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

My is in my signature line.

Blessed are the merciful for they shall obtain mercy.

More than anything I hope that God will be merciful when He deals with me and if extending mercy can ensure that, it is a very small price to pay. :)

Isaiah 55:5-12
Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.

For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:

So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

His ways are not my ways. I may not understand HIM, but He understands and knows me!

Re: Favorite Scripture(s)?

As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.
My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God?
My tears have been my meat day and night, while they continually say unto me, Where is thy God? —Psalms 42:1–3 (KJV)

O my dove, that are in the clefts of the rock, in the secret (places) of the stairs,
let me see your countenance, let me hear your voice; for sweet is your voice,
and your countenance is comely. Take us the foxes, the little foxes, that spoil the vines:
for our vines have tender grapes. My beloved is mine, and I am his: he feeds among the lilies.
Until the day break, and the shadows flee away, turn, my beloved,
and be like a roe or a young hart upon the mountains of Bether.
(Song of Solomon 2:14-17)

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
2 Chronicles 7:14 KJV

He says a lot in one sentence there doesn't he? Thanks so much yal, wonderful scriptures.

Jesus answered, ‘The first is, “Hear, O Israel: the Lord our God, the Lord is one; you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.” Mark 12:29-30

Lamentations 3: 21-24

21: Yet this I call to mind and therefore have hope:

22: Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for his
compassions NEVER FAIL.

23: THEY ARE NEW EVERY MORNING; GREAT Is Your Faithfulness.

24: I say to myself, The LORD is my portion; therefore I will wait for Him.

{ And I also love the song that these verses inspired, "Great Is
Thy Faithfulness." }

My favorite Scripture is:
Jeremiah 29:11 (ESV)
11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
...or...
Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)
11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Some of mine are Ps. 23, 147-150, and Micah 7:7-8.

Therefore I will look unto the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me. Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD shall be a light unto me.
