Favorite Songs?
More specifically, what song is your favorite to worship God to?:happydance
|
Re: Favorite Songs?
Don't you ever ask an easy question!?!?
:D I have enough that I enjoy, but I do not quite understand by what you mean by 'worship to'. Some of mine are breifly: At the Cross Just a Little Talk with Jesus There is Power in the Blood When the Roll is Called up Yonder When we all get to Hevean In the City where the Lamb is the Light He's the Great I am I Saw the Light Amazing Grace Who Am I The Lighthouse I Wouldn't Take Nothin' for my Journey Now Daystar Thanks (I will have to look up the title as I only know the chorus) It's All in Him The Last Sunday These are just a few, and I can think of several more. |

For pure worship I love Because He Lives by the Imperials. A oldie moldy to be sure but still love it.

Double meaning...I feel listening to a song that lifts Jesus' name up is a form of worship, AND to those who worship Jesus while listening to music in a physical sense |
Re: Favorite Songs?
My favorite ATM is "We Declare War"
Satan this is it, we're tired of taking it, Satan we declare war! |

Re: Favorite Songs?
When peace, like a river, attendeth my way,
When sorrows like sea billows roll; Whatever my lot, Thou has taught me to say, It is well, it is well, with my soul. Refrain: It is well, with my soul, It is well, it is well, with my soul. Though Satan should buffet, though trials should come, Let this blest assurance control, That Christ has regarded my helpless estate, And hath shed His own blood for my soul. My sin, oh, the bliss of this glorious thought! My sin, not in part but the whole, Is nailed to the cross, and I bear it no more, Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, O my soul! For me, be it Christ, be it Christ hence to live: If Jordan above me shall roll, No pang shall be mine, for in death as in life Thou wilt whisper Thy peace to my soul. But, Lord, ’tis for Thee, for Thy coming we wait, The sky, not the grave, is our goal; Oh, trump of the angel! Oh, voice of the Lord! Blessed hope, blessed rest of my soul! And Lord, haste the day when my faith shall be sight, The clouds be rolled back as a scroll; The trump shall resound, and the Lord shall descend, Even so, it is well with my soul. |

ALL MY TEARS (be washed away) Plum has the most awesome harmonica riff in her version :) When I die don't cry for me In my father's arms I'll be The wounds this world left on my soul Will all be healed and I'll be whole Sun and moon will be replaced With the light of jesus face And I will not be ashamed For my saviour knows my name It don't matter where you bury me I'll be home and I'll be free It don't matter where I lay All my tears be washed away Gold and silver blind the eye Temporary riches light Come and eat from Heavens store Come and drink, and thirst no more So weep not for me my friend When my time below does end For my life belongs to Him Who will raise the dead again It don't matter, where you bury me I'll be home and I'll be free It don't matter, where I lay All my tears be washed away |

In and out of situations
That tug-a-war at me All day long I struggle For answers that I need Then I come into His presence All my questions become clear And for a sacred moment No doubt can interfere In the presence of Jehovah God Almighty Prince of Peace Troubles vanish hearts are mended In the presence of the King Through His love the Lord provided A place for us to rest A place to find the answers In hours of distress There is never any reason To give up in despair Just slip away and breathe His name He will surely meet you there In the presence of Jehovah God Almighty Prince of Peace Troubles vanish hearts are mended In the presence of the King Our own Vicki Yohe rocks this song. |

Hijack alert!
This song is NOT my favorite but our 2nd and 3rd graders are currently practicing it for a musical. And by practice, I mean allllllllll day! I dare anyone to go to sleep after hearing this for 6+ hours. Moving Right Along (From the original Muppet Movie soundtrack) Movin' right along in search of good times and good news, With good friends you can't lose, This could become a habit! Opportunity knocks once let's reach out and grab it (yeah!), Together we'll nab it, We'll hitchhike, bus or yellow cab it! (Cab it?) Movin' right along. Footloose and fancy-free. Getting there is half the fun; come share it with me. Moving right along (doog-a-doon doog-a-doon). We'll learn to share the load. We don't need a map to keep this show on the road. (Hey, that song is sounding better Fozzie.) Movin' right along, We've found a life on the highway. And your way is my way, So trust my navigation. California here we come, the pie-in-the-sky-land. Palm trees, and warm sand. Though sadly we just left Rhode Island. (We did what?!) (Just forget it.) Movin' right along (doog-a-doon doog-a-doon). Hey LA, where've you gone? Send someone to fetch us, were in Sasketchewan! Movin' right along (doog-a-doon doog-a-doon). You take it, you know best. Hey, I've never seen the sun come up in the West? Movin' right along. We're truly birds of a feather, We're in this together and we know where we're going. Movie stars with flashy cars and life with the top down. We're storming the big town, (Yeah, Storm is right should it be snowing?) (Uh, no I don't think so...) Movin' right along, Do I see signs of men? Yeah, "welcome" on the same post that says "come back again." Moving right along, nice town! Footloose and fancy-free, You're ready for the big time... Is it ready for me? Movin' right along, Movin' right along, Movin' right along, Movin' right along. |

third Day Revelation My life, Has led me down the road that's so uncertain And now I am left alone and I am broken, Trying to find my way, Trying to find the faith that's gone This time, I know that you are holding all the answers I'm tired of losing hope and taking chances, On roads that never seem, To be the ones that bring me home Give me a revelation, Show me what to do Cause I've been trying to find my way, I haven't got a clue Tell me should I stay here, Or do I need to move Give me a revelation I've got nothing without You I've got nothing without You My life, Has led me down this path that's ever winding Through every twist and turn I'm always finding, That I am lost again (I am lost again) Tell me when this road will ever end Give me a revelation, Show me what to do Cause I've been trying to find my way, I haven't got a clue Tell me should I stay here, Or do I need to move Give me a revelation I've got nothing without You I've got nothing without... I don't know where I can turn Tell me when will I learn Won't You show me where I need to go Oh oh Let me follow Your lead, I know that it's the only way that I can get back home Give me a revelation, Show me what to do Cause I've been trying to find my way, I haven't got a clue Tell me should I stay here, Or do I need to move Give me a revelation I've got nothing without You I've got nothing without You Oh, give me a revelation... I've got nothing without You I've got nothing without You |

"Jesus Take The Wheel"
She was driving last Friday on her way to Cincinnati On a snow white Christmas Eve Going home to see her Mama and her Daddy with the baby in the backseat Fifty miles to go and she was running low on faith and gasoline It'd been a long hard year She had a lot on her mind and she didn't pay attention she was going way too fast Before she knew it she was spinning on a thin black sheet of glass She saw both their lives flash before her eyes She didn't even have time to cry She was so scared She threw her hands up in the air Jesus take the wheel Take it from my hands Cause I can't do this on my own I'm letting go So give me one more chance To save me from this road I'm on Jesus take the wheel It was still getting colder when she made it to the shoulder And the car came to a stop She cried when she saw that baby in the backseat sleeping like a rock And for the first time in a long time She bowed her head to pray She said I'm sorry for the way I've been living my life I know I've got to change So from now on tonight Jesus take the wheel Take it from my hands Cause I can't do this on my own I'm letting go So give me one more chance To save me from this road I'm on Jesus take the wheel Oh I'm letting go So give me one more chance Save me from this road I'm on From this road I'm on Jesus take the wheel Oh take it take it from me Oh http://www.mtv.com/videos/carrie-und...he-wheel.jhtml |

Nat King Cole Unforgettable That's what you are, Unforgettable Tho' near or far. Like a song of love that clings to me, How the thought of you does things to me. Never before Has someone been more...
