Ulterior motives...final conclusions...I dunno think of it how you want and if it doesn't satisfy you, debate about it. What is the lasting mark you want to leave on AFF, your grand impression, the point where you can look back and say "I did...what I setest out to do?
Mine is pretty "me", I'm here to seek out different ways of looking at things, while at the same time sticking to my basic beliefs. I'm here for fellowship...and maaaaaybe if I feel strongly enough about something and no one agrees, to put out my arguement and possibly change a mind or two? Hmmm...

When I was here all the time, I wanted and received friendship. It was a great social network with people I understood because we all came from the same type background.

I really wanted to find some friendship with people of the same background. It has surpassed my expectations. I hope I am remembered for kindness and humor. With a few :smack along the way. :heeheehee

When I came to AFF, I had done a search on hair, and Stoneking, because I had begun questioning the "hair" doctrine. I clicked on the google search for that, that brought me to AFF. Since then, I've been here off and on, during times when I have more time than others. I am here still because I want to continue to learn, and iron sharpeneth iron. Sometimes you think you have stuff all figured out in your head, and then you talk to someone, and you see the other side of the question, and then you really have to dig into the scriptures to see if what you thought was true, is.

That is why I am here. I am on a journey, learning more about God each day, and I need brothers and sisters to sharpen me, as iron sharpeneth iron.... learning line upon line, precept upon precept, here a little and there a little, and realizing I don't really know anything at all... in fact... the more I learn, the more I realize the less I know....

When I came here I has one foot (and a leg) out of the UPC and by extension out of the Apostolic movement.. Coming here has helped me to see that there are Apostolics who are respectful of different opinons... and that the ones I felt were not were indeed exactly what I thought they were. It has been a very good experience for me.

I don't have any ambiton to change another's mind... only to be myself and share my journey and if God uses that to help someone else, that is good. :)

I came here with many, many questions.

The questions have not been resolved, but I hold the various possible answers in balance.

Being able to hold the possible answers in a sort of tension/balance has enabled me to return to a softer, more liberal form of my roots without having to be dogmatic about things that don't really matter, while still being passionate about things that do.

It's allowed me to relax and enjoy my walk with God without feeling so torn up about the various directions that others are taking.

I'm becoming a stronger person, knowing that my walk with God is about me being led and directed by God.
It's my relationship with God.

I came on here for the first time several years ago. Had always had reservations about several standards and some doctrinal stances. The kindred spirit is interesting. A lot of us have never met but have that common link to oneness pentecostalism regardless where we stand now. From Elder Epley to Atlanta Bishop and so on. I know and have fellowshipped with Cons from the elder's camp. Don't agree with em but elder if you where within 200 miles and needed help, I'd be there for ya. Same goes for the rest.

At the end of the day I about praying for the best for everyone. And let me say this, I have learned a lot from the backgrounds that have been shared so openly. A good many of you have imparted eternal wisdom with your words.

I had no questions, but was curious about a forum my Dad was posting on during the UPCI/WPF split. I checked it out, and have been here ever since with the exception of a hiatus of nearly 5-6 months.

On the other hand...I always try to remember that, maybe a mind or two can 'change me'. Very often I/we 'present' ideas....because it 'is not' something we are 'sure of'.......just kind of 'put it out there'....hoping someone will 'tweak it' a little.
